Heroin Gear on the Go - How do you store your stuff?

Hi all,

I've been wanting to ask this for a while, but I don't network with the heroin users I know in real life all that much. Here is what I'm wondering: How do you pack up the necessary essentials for shooting up when you have to leave the house? And how do you carry it with you?

Here is what I need:
- Junk (obvi)
- 2-3 unopened syringes
- Spoon
- Alcohol wipes
- 2-3 q-tips
- water bottle

I generally put everything but the water bottle into a glasses case, and put the glasses case and the water bottle in a little messenger bag. Here is the problem that I've been running into - my messenger bag will fill up with dirty needles and alcohol wipes because I don't know what to do with the used up stuff (I tried flushing it down the toilet once, and let's just say it "back" fired on me). People that I know would know right away what a used up alochol swab is for, and obviously a syringe sticks out pretty clearly. I've got about ~100 used needles right now, and I wish there was a formal exchange program in Detroit so that I could turn these into new ones.

Also that means that I'm always walking around with a messenger bag, which isn't always kosher (bars, clubs, amusement parks). I'm a guy and I know that a lot of ladies just keep everything in their purse, so this may not be an equal problem/awkwardness. Either way, I'd like to hear from you gals as well.

This is 50% curiosity and 50% interest in improving my system.

for me, if I know I'll be out and about, I prep my shit at the beginning of the day and carry
2-3 needles
a sealed vial of drugs, already dissolved and filtered
alcohol swabs.
I put the needles into a hard container (soda can, bottle, etc...) and throw it away in the trash.

If I have Heroin, which de-acetalates into morphine when stored, I will take powder, a small vial of sterile water, 1 large mixing syringe and filter, and a couple pins and swabs.

By the way, bottled water is one of the worst things you can inject with.

I don't know what that stuff is or where you would get it. Thanks for responding though. Could you fill me in on this and the earlier prompt? Trying to improve all around! Thanks guys.

try Amazon.com or your local needle exchange for all your sterile/ bacteriostatic water/ nacl needs plus needles, filters, tourniquets, swabs, diabetic to-go cases (just use one of these) etc...

The good thing about Poppy Tea is that you can carry it around or use it in public, and no-one batts an eyelid, I've even drunk it at work when the office is quiet!

I just need a flask (to keep it cold) a pint size sports drink bottle, and small bar of chocolate or sweets as a chaser.

In many areas in the UK they have sharps bins, usually at public toilets. Empty cartons may be another vehicle for which you can dispose of works. The main needle exchange outlet in Leicester gives out sharps boxs, and clients are incentived to return these boxes.

I don't see where this is on amazon. I purchased some needles online before with alochol swabs, but this particular site didn't sell filters or ampules. Could you link me?

Carrying around a bag full of new and used drug paraphernalia is not a good idea. As far as used works, alcohol swabs, cotton balls, empty bags/caps, the system my ex and I used was to keep an empty plastic gallon milk or water jug in the corner of the room, fit a plastic shopping bag inside and tie it around the top like a garbage bag into a garbage can (so the bag is open inside the gallon container)- then put every disposable item involved in shooting dope into the container. When it gets semi-full, tie the bag into a knot and stick it down inside the container, put the lid on the container, and throw it in the trash. Everything from used needles to ashtray refuse would go in there.

On the go, use the same principle but with a plastic water bottle or (better) a plastic Gatorade/Powerade bottle. Generally the bag also keeps people from seeing whats inside the bottle at first glance (other than youre throwing trash in it). Either way be sure to put the caps back on the needles, and/or wrap everything bloody or sharp in toilet paper and tape it so theres no chance of someone accidentally coming into contact with your used stuff unless they go really digging through it all- since its not a real sharps container.

I don't ever foresee a time when sharps bins are located in public in the US outside very localized pilot type programs.

gpzservices.com

and as far as amazon goes, I will make a list of shit, then post it in here. I usually get 100 shots worth of stuff for around $40.

40 cents per shot? That's worth it to me.

This isn't quite productive, but goddamn, the UK just sounds better every day ;)

But I love the idea of this thread. I have always tackled the question of "portable works" and like seeing different takes on it.

It is actually legal (not illegal) to just use a milk jug (including a half-gallon one) and write HOME SHARPS on it in permanent marker. That's what I do.

Pretty much what I do...I just use something thicker like a Folger's coffee can, or a Liquid laundry detergent container...seal it and throw it in the trash....

Those are all good ideas for used needles, I never would have thought of that. But I dont shoot up. 1. Im always afraid Ill get that little bubble that you can never get out (even doctors scare me when I see that in the needle) 2. Theres no where to get needles where I live and I dont know trusted sites online. =\

trusted sites= Amazon.com or gpzservices. both are good. Amazon has better selection, of course, but gpz sells micron filters.

What bubble are you talking about? Air bubble? If it is only like 5-10 units of air, it does no harm. Most bubbles are maybe 1/2 a unit, so they aren't even noticeable.

OH, thanks =) Ill have to check that out.

And I didnt know. I was always told that any air bubble put a gap in your blood/whatever you inject and stops your heart. But I guess its makes since if its small it would just slide right past

Ha I got a bag of like 30 new syringes in my garage for absolutely no reason....think I had a relative that took back shots or some shit. I'll share with some junkies =D hahaha

no but seriously man, just throw your syringes in a bag and chuck em into the woods somewhere?
