G'day folks!
I've been active on BL for about a month and a half now but I figured I should introduce myself formally. Ive known about and lurked on Bluelight for about a decade now but with my new job ive got a lot more free time. I live in the lucky country: Australia, where the drugs are expensive but the Heroin is pure. I'm in my late 20's and have a history of heavy drug use. I've got a sweet tooth for opioids and psychedelics but have only used opioids on the weekends for about a year now after a good 6 years of absolute sobriety. This pattern of use would've been unthinkable half a decade ago but I love and am fulfilled by my life so I've been able to make it work well.
During that long period of abstinence I completed a BSc in chemistry with a minor in biology. Using that degree I currently work in the mining sector however I need to be careful not to be too specific about personal details but I work a "fly in fly out" job. Due to the nature of my employment the demands being very low so I have lots of free time when I'm at work. I plan on pursuing further education in the future, but financial stability comes first. I've got a particular interest in medicinal chemistry although in Australia the only work in this field is academic in nature unfortunately. This means low wages, entering the gates of hell (university) and all the other fantastic things that professional academia entails.
My hobbies are video games, family time, cinema and olympic weightlifting. Politically many would describe me as a centre-right Libertarian. I've got some sort of autism type thing I think, but I'm really talkative on forums so you'll see me around hopefully.
