I use GBL quite frequently and I have been finding that lately it has been messing with my sleep patters. I find that after going to bed I can only sleep for a few hours and I wake up totally energized. I can't seem to fall asleep unless I g-out. Does anyone else have the problem? Also, if I try to stop using gbl then I will just lie awake all night. I don't usually feel tired, just restless.

sounds like me when i used to g-binge
couldnt sleep couldnt relax without it
i would lay off it awhile
maybe take a benzo (xanax, klonopin) if you absolutely NEED it to sleep....its not normal to have to take a drug to induce sleep, try to get there on your own, i know its hard...

this is something I definitely know about. most of the time I have to take GBL to get to sleep when I have to work (my job is rather stressful). I know everyone is going to say not to do this, but I've tried just taking benzos to get to sleep after only sleeping on GBL for days and they will not put me to sleep.. so what I do is I will take some benzos, then a lower dose of GBL than to get me high and then go to sleep since you will be relaxed, etc. you will still wake up after a few hours but the benzos should enable you to go directly back to sleep. and yes, I know mixing downers with GHB is a no no and I fully recognize the consequences, but this is just what works for me. I find that after one night of "natural" sleep, I'm back to normal.

well, obviously, ghb fucks your sleeping patterns in the arse. id reccomend not doing things like that...
BUT ive found gabapentin - a perscription drug - to be very similar to a mild, long lasting ghb... its a gaba analouge as you couldve taken from the name. taking it makes sleep happen in a similar manner, only not such a dramatic swing occurs. in fact, numerous friends wont take g unless they have this at the same time, as it eliminates the 5 hour sleeping / very alert state that follows g.

I find that when I do use g to sleep I can only sleep for a couple hours then I wake up feeling totally refreshed even though I know my body has not goten all the sleep I need. I am wondering how long g keeps me up for so I'm going to do a test and see if I take my last dose at 6 pm, will I be able to sleep at midnight? Hopefully.
