I have a question for anyone whom may have an answer to..I normally work a 5 day work week, 8 hours a day (ya know, the usual) For the past year and a half i have been taking gatorade with me to work, to help me get through the day better (I provide customer service at a popular phone company) and up until a few months ago, I've noticed that whenever I drink the sweet nectar, my body starts to heat up and stays that way for a good 5 minutes. My question is..Is this normal? Is this due to the fact that maybe my body has gotten "used" to it?

i really, really don't think this question belongs on this website. Gatorade is not a drug....? This is like a health quesion you should consult a doctor with....if you should even ask that question at all?
(This is like one of the weirdest posts ever)

"used to" what? All gatorade contains is mostly salt, sugar and water. I have no clue as to why you get all "heated" up after 5 minutes of drinking it...I dunno...maybe psychological. I assure you, drinking gatorade (aka sugar water) did not affect you in the way you describe...it must be something else.

yes this question does seem like a joke...but I will humor you--
perhaps you could have an alergic reaction to one of the ingredients in the Gatorade causing the heat??

honestly I think, more than anything, this post demonstrates the power of marketing in america. Gatorade, is thought of as a drug. As something 'magic' that will really help you get through athletic stress, something more than carbohydrates and water...... Now that's magic.

I've posted before on gatorade. It really helps you out the day after you party hard & need to get straight. It's all about restoring your electrolytes which helps you get out of tired slumps. Also good is alka-seltzer morning relief.
It also helps you get back on track when your still hurting from the night before. Anyway this is in the wrong forum, it belongs in health...
