Gasoline/20 huffs - Greenlighter
------------------------------------

So, Yesterday (it feels like weeks ago), I huffed about 20 hits of gasoline out of a canister.

T+00: I huff the first few hits, I feel an extreme head high and moderate colors and what I can only describe as sets of red and green eyes everywhere around me. I am still coherent, so I continue to huff the gas.

T+30s: I have taken probably 10 huffs at this point, I am almost completely gone, but still coherent. The hallucinations intensify and get very very crazy. the auditory hallucinations set in but, everyone seems to describe them as a "vum-voom-vum", but what I hear is a distant high pitched beeping-frequency that keeps getting faster with each huff.

T+??: I have taken at least 20 huffs now, and I have no idea where I am, what time is, or if I even exist. I'm in a completely different world of fractals and geometry so perfect with euphoria I almost cannot explain, but I will try to. It felt like this vibration going all throughout my body that made me feel like my body didn't even exist; even though my CNS was going insane. I was stuck in this dreamy loop of different dimensions of different shapes and colors and in the first dimension, a voice that I recognize as god says, "I told you it goes in a loop". I had no idea what this meant at the time in the first dimension, I then started rapidly warping through different dimensions of colors. It felt like years until I came back to the first dimension I was at, I then heard the voice say once again, "I told you it goes in a loop". The dimension then quickly closed off and I realized that the first dimension I was in was the first dimension, if that makes any sense. I then slowly come back to reality, still tripping balls, dazed and confused with the gas nozzle still in my hand and sitting up. I knew I was only in that alternate reality for a couple minutes, but it felt like years of a journey to come back to a humble beginning, so then I realized that I needed to be more humble with my progress making; even if it means starting over, because it is indefinite.

Overall, this was a mind blowing experience that I will contemplate for life. I hope I explained this to a point of some understanding. Have a great day everyone!=D

Edit: I am NOT condoning or glorifying gasoline as a substance in this article, this is for informational and neurological studies ONLY. I was lucky, I did not suffer permanent CNS damage or brain damage, it can be very addicting. I was addicted for about a day then said fuck this and threw it away. NEVER DO WHAT I DID IN THIS POST.

dont recall anything trippy, just that wha wha wha like hitting a whip-it basically and being in a stupor.
careful with gas

Very cool report. I think gasoline/petrol and other inhalants are completely understated as psychoactive substances. They are all grouped into one single category and disregarded as drugs, yet take enough and you'll experience infinity...!

It just seems very significant and overlooked that one of the biggest polluters on the planet is a psychoactive substance. Doesn't this place it under UK psychoactive substances regulation? Technically, yes, but in practice, obviously not. Either way, it's very metaphorical that we are screwing our planet with a mind expanding drug.

I also wonder if it has any kind of psychological impact through second hand fume inhalation. I mean, we're on this low dose psychoactive pretty much all the time.

Especially since Bluelight is primarily a harm reduction site.

No judgement, but huffing petrol is not a very healthy thing to do. I would not encourage anyone to huff petrol.

It's a sticky subject. These kinds of drugs can be very harmful so it might be best not to glorify/romanticize their effects. At the same time we probably shouldn't shun discussion of the effects because that too can have unintended repurcussions. I guess the only thing we can do is make sure people clearly understand the risks and hope they make the right choice.

It's a shame these drugs are so harmful. I wish they were as benign as nitrous oxide. The gases used in duster, or canned air, produce one hell of a trip (I was young and foolish once). It would be awesome to be able to explore the experience more but unfortunately it's just not worth the risks.

Risks include, depending on inhalant things like brain damage, nerve damage, organ damage, cancer, sudden death, paralysis, injury, etc.

Erowid has some great reports of chronic users and acute users who had some major issues.

Anyone ever seen that episode of Cops of the two Hispanic brothers who liked huffing gas? Trust me. You don’t want to end up like them.

never had a moderator actually approve my post =D

I'm just a guy posting on a website, but it was an interesting read. I always find inhalants trip reports fascinating, regardless of their inherent health risks. :)

lmao probably contributes to modern day depression and increases in psychosis

I wouldn't be surprised. A study linked air pollution to increased mental illness in children, and I know there are a lot of similar studies. I guess it's not quite the same thing as inhaling petrol, because it combusts or whatever, and the active chemical might not be involved, but it's interesting that the mega destructive fuel petrol is actually quite a powerful drug, nonetheless. :)

I'm not sure if this was with regard to my comment, but just because something is inherently dangerous, it does not negate the fact that it is a psychoactive drug, and/or interesting. And discussing said fact does not = encouragement.

Yip, there are some very interesting reports on erowid. Obviously the take home message is "don't do inhalants", but damn are they a good read.

Absolutely not, just wanted to make the message clear to anyone in the future considering huffing gas... It's not healthy. My concern is the uninitiated, looking for cheap, available trips. Well, I don't advise huffing gas on a health basis.
