Absorption of drugs through pharyngeal mucosa (gargling)

I'm not sure this is the right forum but it seems worth a shot.

A long time ago, in a forum far away, there was a debate about the best way to absorb Salvinorin A when quidding (chewing Salvia Divinorum leaves, holding the mush in the mouth and absorbing the active chemical via the oral mucosa). It emerged anecdotally that gargling the juices was a highly effective method. The head could be held at a particular angle, while gargling, in order to maximise immersion in the plant's alien realm, the position of the head encouraging intimacy between the Salvia juices and the receptive blood vessels.

I gargled my methoxetamine tonight, 20mg in saliva (my own) and a further 15mg in some water. Onset seemed more rapid than via sub-lingual administration, and potency higher. I realise this is quite subjective; all I can say is I was a surprised how quickly and deeply I fell under the chemical's spell.

I am not good at anatomy, but maybe there are blood vessels at the back of the oral cavity which present an opportunity for advantageous absorption of life-enhancing chemicals like Salvinorin A and Methoxetamine.

I wonder if a clever person could comment on this?

Do other people gargle their drugs?

when you do sublingual do you swish it around a lot? could just be that more of the chemical is more quickly coming into contact with your mucosa when you gargle, quickening the rate of absorption.

I do swish, but the gargle is swishier. I never gargled my Salvia, but the person who did was evangelical about it.

New salvia - now with added swish! :D

I used to swish with that "extraordinary potion of enchantment" saliva but that was mixed with alcohol so if you tried gargling with that it would take the skin off your throat. I bet gargling would be the best way - it puts it in contact with more surface area and I bet the skin down there is a bit more sensitive than the inside of your cheek.
