What happened to the galleries? Did they go away? I always enjoyed checking out pics of different ... 'things' .... in the BL galleries but where did they go? How do you get to the galleries or are they gone?

Welcome back, lung.

Galleries were lost in a series of major upgrade that occurred circa 2009-10.

Users were initially restricted to 15 images each in early 2009 for bandwidth conservation. The gallery was closed to new submissions in early 2010, and existed as a read-only service. Members were notified later that year of our intention to decommission the third-party gallery plug-in as it was no longer compatible with the vB CMS we were using.

I think the gallery finally went offline late-2010.

Sorry if you lost anything in the purge.

I too was sad to see The Gallery go, but it'd had it's day and needed to be put in a nursing home.

even tho you figured it out, i will tell anyone who happens to come across this thread...

1. you need to upload the pic to a site like imageshack, flickr or photobucket. then you need to find the direct link to the picture (you can right click in firefix and click on copy image location). then type [img]linklocation.jpg[/img] in the thread you want to post a pic.
