Long time reader and fan, first time posting. I hope someone can help me with this... I'm not looking for judgement or criticism, if you please. I took some of my sister's Gabapentin 600 mg pills and want to replace them with OTC pills (that won't do her any harm; I'm thinking asprin or something. She hasn't been taking her Gabapentins for 5 months, so while I am not justifying my actions I'm pointing out that she won't die without them.) Problem is, I can't find any OTC pills that that resemble the original Gabas. Can anyone help me with suggestions? The Gabapentins are 600 mgs, which are white, oblong-shaped, and have a score mark on one side. I don't need an exact replica, just something of the same shape and color would be great. I appreciate any suggestions and look forward to being a member here. Thank you

I'm quite aware what they look like, but to my knowlege there is no OTC drug that looks very much like that. Best bet would be just put something big and white in there and hope she doesn't really look at them. LOL I need to find something more productive to do with my time.

Ive seen a few different Gabapentins. Actuallynevermind Ive only seen one 600mg pill, oval and white with a split in the middle. I really dont know what looks like that, also you just never know what could happen when someone takes something they dont know theyre taking, though unlikely to cause harm, you just never know. If I were you Id probably just leave it alone. I wouldnt bother with gabapentin if I were you for recreation, IMO its pretty useless there.

I disagree, I find them both recreational and useful for all sorts of things. Withdrawls from pretty much anything, depression, seizure disorders, mild pain. But yeah, if your sis isn't taking them anyway, man up. Tell her you've been taking them, you find them helpful, and could she get them refilled? What will she say? How the fuck should I know? But I guarantee this, when you get to be my age and look back, the things you'll regret won't be what you said but what you didn't.

Thanks fryingsquirrel. And Nikolai - no help there, I'm not asking your opinion about recreational gabapentin use. I obviously like it. I found a calcium pill at the drugstore that was almost identical to the gabapentin 600, but had "caltrate" scrawled across the back, so I probably won't replace the pills with anything. Plus, it's tricky having to puncture all those protective seals on the bottles just to see what the pills look like without getting caught :) Too bad my sister sucks and would never hook me up. I have a script for it anyway, just can't get a refill yet (and mine are 300's)
Should I ask my doctor to switch to Lyrica? Truth is... I'm on suboxone and can't get high on anything, except recently discovering that little nice feeling on gabapentin. I miss that high feeling. Boo.

I'm sure you don't want to hear my criticism about you stealing somebodies prescription medicine and replacing them with OTC pills but I wanted to respond about Lyrica. You could ask your doctor about it if you enjoy Gabapentin. It acts the same chemically but is basically a stronger form of it that includes getting "high" on the side effects list which is why it is a Scheduled drug. To get a high feeling a good dose to take is 450mg although anywhere from 300-600mg could do it.

IMO, you would be much better off to just not replace the few pills you took at all. The medicine is probably Rx-ed for seizures, and just because she hasn't been taking them recently doesn't mean she wouldn't ever need them.

Maybe I'm way off base, but that would be horrible if she was in genuine need of one and then ended up taking a calcium pill that would do fuck all for her.

If she does notice that you had taken a few, then you need to just man up and deal with that. Otherwise don't take them at all.
