Funny story... thought some people might get a kick out of

Well, back in January, two weeks after I turned 18 I was at a party and had a couple of Smirnoff Ice. Some dipshi kid spilt some in my new car. It's 3-in-the-morning and I decide to go home. I get pulled over, and to make a long story short I get a DUI. So, I'm out a lot of money and now I have to take a DUI class.
I'm in the DUI class and we have to do a 30-question "true" or "false" test about alcohol and other drugs. One question asks if "ice" causes alertness. The teacher is reading the questions aloud to the class, and I was the only one in the question that knew what "ice" was. At the end of the class the teacher brought me into the back office and gave me a few drug counseling numbers being as I was the only person in the class that knew what "ice" was. I told him that apparently no other student in the class had properly listened to the "just say no" campaigns all over television, and he threatens to throw me out of the class.
Well, there's my stupid story for the day. I thought somebody might get a kick out of it.
 
My dui classes were so cool, the place was full of the most laid back people I've ever met. You could show up drunk, an hour late, without pants, and they wouldn't say a word. No, seriously.

Well it sucks you are "out a lot of money" but if I got a dui, I would be "in debt for" a lot of money, esp. since I would loose my academic scholarship. I'd also be "in debt for" an ass kicking from the person who pays for my car insurance.
I guess I could just call up the family lawyer on the way home from cricket practice but that would be much too much trouble.

Hehe I think he prob mentioned it since it was convenient that he had just turned 18, becoming an 'adult' :P I dunno how common it is to charge a 17-year-old as an adult in the case of DUI's though.

damn it's a sad day when someone IS actualy educated enough to know of the chemicals in our society and gets lecured on it. Our goverments drug education program is so ass backwards.

I did mention my age out of "convenience." Had I been pulled over and charged with a DUI a few weeks prior I would've gotten little more than a slap on the wrist.
Also, in the class, we got to watch a "Say NO to Drugs" video made in 1991 hosted by Jimmy Smits. It was hilarious.
My DUI instructor also called "GHB" liquid ecstasy. It was hilarious.
 
LOL, hes lauging i suppose because that seems to be a ladies drink , and the first poster seemed to be male, i could be wrong though

I got this at my Drug & Alcohol classes as well. On one of the days they brought in a cop who was talking about how they bust people and stuff, and then he started asking what drugs "can you kids get a hold of" at school. I was the only one who raised my hand for coke, meth, oxycontin, and a couple others probably. He took me aside and told me that I seemed knowledgeable and eager, but I should listen to my heart and realize that I need to turn these "dope peddlers" into the police. Really, that's almost exactly what he said. It made me feel stupider having heard it.

yea, you gotta love it when stuff like that happens. you're smart, but u get that drugs are bad BS dumped on u by the truckload.
the funniest thing that i had happen to me along these lines, was in the middle of chem class. somehow the topic gets switched to drugs like it usually does every class, and someone who doesn't know what they're talking about blurts out some crap about meth crystalizing in the body.
me being the chem genious that i am go into my little rant about meth freebase being non-soluable in water and then changed into a water soluable form, meth HCl. and then describing how it goes into solution in the body and is absorbed through the alvioli.
needless to say i got one hell of a dirty look from the teacher, but she didn't correct me and she's also the bio teacher too.
then at the end of the course i laugh at the others while i pass with the highest mark in the class.
meuahahahahah!!!!
 
smirnoff??....ahahhahaha HA,they are ok ,but after 2 they suck ass ,i cant stand the taste anymore,i would rather drink homemade wine (like i am now---but only cause its all i got :( .. )

New Zealand = 21
Canada = 19
Germany = 16
the laws differ a lot :)
But yes, the general idea here is the lunacy of amercian drinking laws :)

it sounds like it was a trick. I would guess your from the south? where meth is more of a problem so they assume if you know what ice is then your a tweaker....
