so a buddy of mine grows and well i had smoked some of his homegrown and it was ridiculous looking. almost like regg with orangish/white hairs? im not joking at all that is why im posting this to see if anyone else has seen crazy homegrown or does it just depend on the seedlings or what?

Homegrown shit tends to be better because its cared for more than commercial shit. Maybe the dude knew what he was doing or had some good seeds.

I've smoked some homegrown outdoor headies which blew me away, no name shit. It didn't even look that great. The seeds are a great help, but how it's grown will depend on how it lives up to its potential.

I've seen some different sorts of home grown and yes it does depend on the seeds and the grower has all been pretty good though and that's the main thing right?

yeah depends on the seed, strain etc. But I did notice that you said white hairs, and that makes me think that it wasn't fully mature when picked, maybe that's why it looked weird.

As a poster above said, it's all 'homegrown.' It really depends on how many hands it exchanged before getting to you. Of course, it also depends on the seed, ie: the strain.

white hairs, though, makes me imagine pot that was snipped off too early, before its full potential (thc-wise) is reached. i know the difference b/w early bud and late bud as far as the buzz is concerned, but speaking from experience, clipping off early is never a good idea.
