I been lurking the forum's for a couple year's..finally decided to join. But anywayy My question.Im use
to takeing a MAX of 60mg Hydrocodone. My supply has run out but my guy has gotten some Morphine 15mg sr(little blue one's).
I plugged 2 15mg earlier and felt good..nothing like hydro but great.Im about to get 5 more 15mg sr pill's so im wondouring
if i plugged all of them what type of High should i Suspect?..Nod?..Because ive heard other people say Hydro dont make them Nod but it's made me nod..:?

I'm surprised to hear "its nothing like hydro" but IMO if you've tried 2 with a liitle success I'd double the dose to 60 mg or maybe cut one in hHalf to bring your total to 52.5 mg. I wouldn't be to worried with doing to much becuz 60 mg of hydro s day will cause an increase in a general opiate tolerance.

Orally, (due to morphine having a rather low BA via that ROA) morphine and hydrocodone are equal. So 1mg of hydrocodone=1mg of morphine.

So if you're looking for the equivalent dose in morphine to that of 60mg's of oral hydrocodone.. you need 60mg's of morphine.

Idk There not the same at all to me.I ended up plugging 7 15mg Morphine pill's in total..it was alright.Mush rather perfer Hydro Orally..But i cant get ahold of them all the time.

I find opioids like Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, etc. that are prodrugs tend to offer better rush when taken by mouth, probably has to do with bioavailibility. Morphine is sedating for me, I find Morphine to be just like Hydrocodone except itchier (being all natural). Just be happy you have SOMETHING rather than nothing or some crappy Tramadol until you can get your DoC back.

I think the morphine must have not been extracted properly from the 15mg SR's, 105mg of plugged morphine vs your normal 60mg of hydro should have had you rocked.

Eh, idk i've always found the recreational effects to be more like 1.5:1 morphine to hydrocodone, but im sure the pain killing properties are similar.

If I had to choose between Morphine and Hydrocodone I'd go Hydro oral route. If you had Morphine yeah I'd give you next to nothing for 15ir's just to play. Morphine other than in a hospital setting is shit IMO. Have fun.

Oxycodone is definitely not a prodrug and hydrocodone being a prodrug is debatable.

"Studies have shown hydrocodone is stronger than codeine but only one-tenth as potent as morphine at binding to receptors and reported to be only 59% as potent as morphine in analgesic properties. However, in tests conducted on rhesus monkeys, the analgesic potency of hydrocodone was actually found to be higher than that of morphine.[7] Per os hydrocodone has a MEDD factor of .4, meaning that 1 mg of hydrocodone is equivalent to .4 mg of intravenous morphine. However, because of morphine's low oral bioavailability, there is a 1:1 correspondence between orally administered morphine and orally administered hydrocodone."

I switch around from oral hydrocodone (50mg/day) to oral morphine (PST, 0.5-0.75lb of seeds/day, so ~45-65mg gradual-onset morph), to buprenorphine (0.8-1.2 mg/day sublingual).

In terms of relieving withdrawal, a mu-agonist opioid is a mu-agonist opioid is a mu-agonist opioid: if the drug or its active metabolite (in the case of codeine->morphine, bupe->norbupe, and tramadol->M1) is an mu-agonist, then they are completely interchangeable if you account for BA differences and potencies.

Personally, I find morphine much more sedating, lasting a bit longer than hydrocodone, and is a significantly better analgesic, imo. For recreational use, though, oral hydrocodone takes the cake but then again I've never tried an equivalent dosage of oral oxycodone, which is more powerful than snorted oxycodone in terms of BA.

I find that hydrocodone is a terrible analgesic, relative to its opioid siblings, morphine or even tramadol, since the euphoria:analgesia ratio is way too high with hydrocodone, making you all high for a couple of hours instead of doing its job as a painkiller, which is why Norcos are so popular on the street. Morphine, on the other hand, when taken orally in a PST opium preparation gives a very relaxed, mellow, sedating, non-euphoric morphine high, with a pleasant body buzz to boot.
