I started writing this but don't know where to go with it - any thoughts?

“A MANIFESTO OF A WORLD GONE MAD”

It has been twelve hours since the onset of my headache. I am now convinced I have meningitis, a brain hemorrhage, or both. A rumor has begun to circulate throughout the ward that suggests I am faking the illness (or illnesses as the case may be). In light of such news, I have decided to inspect each meal presented to me for any indication that it has been poisoned or tampered with. To ignore the possibility of bodily harm to myself would be unwise at this juncture in my treatment here.
I will speak with Dr. Knightly, the physician on duty for the midnight to sunrise shift, about securing a guard for my room while I sleep. They, and I mean they as in my captives, are threatening my very rights and privileges as a volunteer patient. I was robbed of my morning walk just three days ago over the incident involving myself, Nurse Hatchet, and her accidental overdose of Thorazine. I pointed out to my captors that it was merely a mistake on her part and I should hardly be the one to suffer the punishment.
However, Nurse Hatchet will be returning to the ward in a day or so and until then the board of physicians felt it was in the best interests of the other sub-par nurses if I remained in solitary confinement until Hatchety Hatch can return and force me to reveal the location of the remaining bottles of Thorazine.
I hope that others will see that I am an intelligent and well-mannered young woman who should be returned to the Cedar Brook Hospital right away. I feel a private hospital with minimum security is more fitting for me than this state run hospital, in which I currently reside, since it was clearly made for the criminal element.
Upon arriving here four months ago my toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers were stolen within a week. In the subsequent months other items including, although not limited to, a comb, a magazine, and four sticks of chewing gum have also been stolen. I do not wish to falsely accuse anyone but my woman’s intuition leads me to believe that Hatchety Hatch, etc. may be involved.
I have sent away for information on nursing and the code of ethics all those in health care are duty-bound to honor. That was many weeks ago and I have not received any mail since then so I also am inclined to believe that those who wish to conspire against me also wish to prevent me from learning and acquiring knowledge that may aid me in bringing about their downfall.

Tidy!

Very interesting, it has a very strong element of wry humour, mixed with a kind of Ken Kesey'ish view of the inside of a state run institution. I think that its got great potential. I suppose its always a good idea to both go forwards and go backwards from a start like this, you need to explain why events are so, and you need to delve into the future as well.

That's just my suggestions.

Nice work though, very nice!
