Friggen a paxil is a bitch to get off of help...

My psych. Dr. told me it has a really low half life. I grasp that but why in GOD fucking green Earth with people with insane Severe Depression such as I have and anxiety to boot would they even have this on the market. I swear to all things holy that if I missed one fucking day I felt like I was going nuts. IT SUCK DONKEY BALLS. Needless to say a trip to the nut hut for me it was a good stay it is a REALLY NICE place. But now back to the old reliable which is Zoloft. I am also on Lamictal, Klonopin, Topamax <migranes plauge me BAD>, 50 mg seroquel four times during the day and 150 at HS,Multivitamin as I chronically animeic, and tapering of paxil which is my head ache here any advice to make it easier on my moods I know the other meds will help but so tired of being a fucking testing rat in a matter of speaking...SO frustrated...words of wisdom are appreciated.

I certainly feel for you.

I "discontinued" Zoloft and it was hell. SSRI's produce extremely nasty withdrawal symptoms. I know it can be hard to get through, but once all the drug is finally out of your system you won't feel so bad in regards to withdrawal symptoms. I wish I had some advice as to how to cope with it, but I don't. The only way I coped was by waiting out the yucky side effects. Thankfully you found a medication that works for you. SSRI's make me go crazy.

you could try a taper with prozac as it has a long half life. SSRI withdrawals are very strange and i'd try and bring up the symptoms or possibility of this happening and Drs just didn't really understand it. They cling to the idea that it is non habit forming and does not cause a withdrawal because it's not recreational. Really frustrating trying to seek any sort of mental health help.
