Friend Broke My Bowl

a friend of mine had her bong smashed by some random guy about a week ago, and he immediately forked out $50. i think any real weed smoker would automatically do something along those lines, but if your roomy doesnt smoke much i wouldnt say i would expect it, or that it would necessarily even cross his mind that he should definitely at least put something towards a new piece. id give him a few days, and if he does nothing towards it id raise the issue in a normal sort of way. i wouldnt bother pushing the issue, its just a piece after all, besides its always fun to replace them unless its a special one.
 
who the fuck cares. its not like he broke your leg. its a material thing. 65 dollars was a rip off btw, lol.
 
to me marijuana is all about community. the bong is a material thing, but my expectations that my friends will be happy to at least help with part of the replacement value are not. do what you will, but theres a reason i dont associate with meth addicts.
 
Pipes come and pipes go. 65 dollars is really not a lot of money.

I know the pipe was special, I can understand that, I've had special pipes broken by stupids as well...but...it's a pipe.

Man up, go buy a new one, and make it special. There are 'one of a kind' pieces available at almost every headshop in America.

Friends are more important than glass.
 
He has to atleast reemberse (sp?) you in some way, of preferably the samer value. I mean if you guys ar friends you can work something else.
 
Turn his head into a skull bong. Pluck an eye out, put a tube in his ear if not paid by x date. Problem solved either way.
 
I only read the title, but I'm about 80% sure I feel your pain.

I bought a nice Sherlock piece off my friend once and before he even put in my hands he "was trying to unclog the bowl" and pushed a nail right through the bowl on the pipe. I still bought it because it was real cheap as he was desperate for $$$'s. Another time, I borrowed a small spoon style tool to my good boy, who wrecked it by "dipping it in lean, it gets you fucckkked upppp maaann". Ignoring that you can't smoke cough syrup, the mere taste left in it made anything packed in it unsmokable. Needless to say he had just bought himself a brand new bowl. ( I though about just taking it a cleaning it, but it was more a matter of respect).

My current spoon has preformed faithfully even after some falls. I leave it screenless and without the right technique you get bowls in your throat, helps keep clumsy hands off it.
 
if he was a good friend you wouldnt even have 2 ask he would of got u a new one or gave u something else

the only piece that i have currently that has a name is my one hitter, i named it crack pipe....

Mainly because whenever i let anyone smoke out of it they just say "crackpipe?"

and in truth it really would make a very effective crack pipe or whatever with a little bit of chore boy brillo shoved in the end, but alas there is more than one thing you can smoke out of a crack pipe, DMT being one of them....

but i love my crack pipe, i bought it because its fairly inconspicuous and small enough to hide quickly and easily...
 
If I break anything belonging to someone else then it's my duty to replace it or fix it good as new. They wouldn't even have to ask. The next time I visited I'd have a replacement on me. Simple as that.
 
My friend broke my pipe banging it against a trash can to empty it. I told him immediately where to buy a new piece and surprise me. Next day I had a new piece that was equal to my last one, I never asked about prices etc, I just wanted mine replaced.
