Friday Thread: What a weekend of drugs, sex and debauchery!

If you are on a decent wage I am sure its affordable. I just had a quick look and it seems $350 a week for a room is about as cheap as it gets. Thats affordable to me but it would mean sharing. A one bed room flat thats halfway decent is $500+. That would start impacting my lifestyle.

How expensive is London? I have no idea except that it is expensive. Friends who used to live there no longer do because of the expense.
 
Beer, sunbathing and might be going out for dinner / drinks tonight. Got quite a bit to do tomorrow so can't get too drunk tonight (I wish I could believe that), then I'm off to Singapore on Sunday :).

My brother in law is in manly gets the ferrie to work every morning. ( beats the M 25 )
Day off work today to much rain in the forecast , just did the school run don't get the privilege of it to often so made her 45 mins late with a McDonald's stop. Long as she don't tell the Mrs wear cool .pubing it today , work tomorrow and take little legs swimming Sunday.
Normal weekend for me.

I think to live in central London you are looking at at least £1300 for a 1 bed flat which is around 2600 AUD. The property market there has gone mental in the last decade, pretty much the only reason I left.
 
Yeah i have done my time in Sydney. I lived in Newtown 20 odd years ago. It was fun then. Cheap rent, we had a 5 bedroom terrace house for $250 a week. Same house is about $1500 a week now. Newtown used to be filled with punks, goths, hippy ferals (crustys i think you guys call em ) and gays. Now its full of yuppies. Times change i guess.
 
this friday / weekend i will be mostly doing household chores, facilitated by some gratutious doses of 3-meo-pcp.

sounds like koneko is going to have a fun weekend hah.

At least that's Central London, I was paying £550/m for a 5th floor shoebox overlooking the factories and a railyard up 'Norf. 8)
