]It's always awkward trying to describe who you are in a brief way but...
I'm 21, a girl, from the USA. I draw and I write and I play the ukulele.
I'm a licensed esthetician. Hopefully soon I'll be going to college to major in neuropharmacology (surprise, surprise :P)
Im getting sober from IV Heroin/meth use and am here for the sober community. Nothing renews my desire to stay clean quite like reading about someone else's success in recovery.
So, hey everyone, happy to be here & glad you all are too.

Welcome! I'm here for the sober support as well after my 6 year oxycodone "binge".

It was difficult at first of course which is to be expected after such an ordeal. It's not as difficult as it seems though. It become very clear after this quit that my Chicken Little ("the SKY is falling!!") attitude towards withdrawal all these years was really what was holding me down all this time.

Of course physical dependency is very real, but when I changed my mindset, suddenly it was not quite the epic crisis it had previously been. It was actually a cakewalk compared to the previous detoxes I experienced on lesser amounts for shorter time spans.

I guess what I'm getting at is--- "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right." (Henry Ford)
