Forum Guidelines - ALL USERS MUST READ BEFORE POSTING!!
All of you to the Words forum and thank you ahead of time for taking the time to read the guidelines to make your visits to here easier and enjoyable.
We have a few guidelines which will need to be followed at all times. We all want this to be a peaceful and happy place with tons of inspiration spread all around. So Read our guidelines below and if you have any comments or questions,
You can reach any of the moderators by clicking on the moderators name and then leaving a private message for that moderator.

IF you need to Report a thread for any reason
Please use the Following Steps.
1) Go to that thread
2) Look under the users Avatar and click on Report.
3) State Reason: This is ONLY to be used to report posts that are in violation of the user agreement - spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, racist, dealing/soliciting) and any break in guidelines listed Below.
All Reports will be taken under serious consideration. Consistent repeat offenders will be dealt with in a timely and serious matter.
1) GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE
Words is made up of peoples personal poetry, and personal written work. It is also made up of work done by others that people choose to share. SO if you post something you did not write (such as if you copied it out of a book, magazine, song lyric, forwarded e-mail, etc...) give credit to who wrote it or where you got it, at least. Just don’t take credit for other's work, please.
2) POSITIVE CRITICISM ONLY
We the moderators, would like to keep the atmosphere in this forum as POSITIVE as possible. We don’t want to discourage anyone from posting, and we understand that some matters are very personal and may be difficult for the person to post. Therefore, please only reply when you can do so in a POSITIVE nature. If you don’t like a poem, then move on. Negative comments will be modified or deleted as the moderators feel necessary. There will be NO DEBATING in this forum. If you want to debate or discuss an issue, we refer you to Lounge here , where discussions are welcomed. If you have a comment you want to share with the author that you don’t feel meets these guidelines, then by all means, take it to private message. [COLOR=3]NO DRAMA IN THIS FORUM.[/COLOR]
3) CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICSM
If you have a work that you WOULD LIKE to have critiqued, and you are open to ALL FORMS of constructive criticism, then we encourage you to put “PLEASE CRITIQUE” either in your title or at the top of your post. We will do our best to offer you suggestions.
4) DON’T BEG YOUR AUDIENCE
Do not ask people to read your work (such as put *read me* or 'read and reply!, etc, in the topic of your thread)... if one wants to read your work, they will. Many times people read the threads but dont reply because they don’t really know what to say or they just don’t want to reply. It’s their call, and let’s not badger people into reading our stuff. Just because you don’t always get replies doesn’t mean no one read it.
5) HOW OFTEN CAN I POST?
In order to accommodate the many “poets” in our forum, please limit yourself to 3 posts on the first page. No one wants to open the forum and see one person’s name dominating the front page. Share the spotlight with others. We understand that from time to time, old posts get bumped up and it may put you over that limit, and we WILL take this into consideration. But 3 posts on the first page is from hereon our max, and if you violate this, your excess posts will be moved to the Deleted Messages forum and you will be sent an email asking you to repost it once you are below 3.
6) REGARDING POSTING SONG LYRICS
We have created a central place for people to post song lyrics. It is a continuing thread called “Lyrics That Appeal to you Today Here! ” Please post all your song lyrics here, so that we have more room for original works to be posted in new threads.
We have zero tolerance for any Rules that are broken out of malice or ill intent done in this forum. So behave or we will use the means to get medieval. So No bullshit! period NO exceptions.

This is our archive forum. If there is anything you wish to post a reply to that has been moved to the archives please feel free to email one of the moderators and they will move it back to the Words forum and bump it up for you.
Please Feel free to contact us if you have a Serious concern about a member of this forum. We treat you all with care and concern in this forum and take heart if there might be a concern. If you youreself feel the need to talk to either one of us we will respond to all private message as soon as possible.
Both of us, are here cause we enjoy being here, this is a volunteer job that we have chosen to do. We do it for the love of the poetry that is written here and we thank you for sharing each and every one of your poems with all of us that venture this forum.
