I.

Carefully, mid lonely valleys
of these towers (ours)
We will share a loneliness
Apart. Solitude becomes us
Should flight be taken
from us, as sunlight
Along these streets will overtake
The night.

Colurs needlessly subdued
A muted mauve undressed with
Blue and halo'd heather never seen
'Gainst grave morning's pallid aubergine
(Save opalescent capulets,
translucent memories of rust)
Tapestries of iridescence - rack ruin
All obscene!
Ere ecru maun befall to dusk.

Verily, there's nothing bitter
in unabashed adulation
Naked poplars screaming as they
thrust their arms toward morning
Oh, that languid warming!
Amidst the narrow flight of sparrows
(November's early warning)
Ere we grow too old too late.
To-morrow forget me not
as mem'ry wilts 'neath spates of tears
Forgotten rain of yesteryear.

II.

An apathetic sun describes
his circumlocutory rise
Steady arc addressing
(needlessly descrying one's
adulterous remisses)
the cold wet kisses pressing
to Helios in
Gratitude, gravely dying.

And should anaemic winter sun
Rend frozen tears from poplar branches
Scrape diamonds out from every
tired feathered eye;
Should night's white unity in chaos
Weep itself wholly undone;
Would then not smattered
shards of feathers
Take flight as one?

Enough! Is it not
enough that we have wept
through life's long passing
Oughtn't rain be taken in
stoic frozen silence
(as the morning yet progresses)
Enough have we been long in mourning
The brittle quills amid the branches
And enough! of sighing
Should we not be
Laughing as we're dying?

I've missed your poetry, yakksoho. I'm glad to see you're still around. :)

... just as a flock of images take flight as one.

Still to this day I find myself reeling in your utter brilliance. It would be a crime for you words to stay here only, for them not to be published.

This rolled around in my head, painting a picture of Dawn to Dusk. It let me see a world different from my own.

oh, this one was most definitely brilliant. I love your imagery and rhythm. please post more, my goodness... love and light
