I walked along the shore,
looking back at the footsteps
that would eventually fade,
fade like the memory of us.
Coming towards the edge
I look down at the water,
Stopping.
Thinking.
Planning,
what to do,
knowing I still love you
but knowing we have to part.
You come running after me,
your footsteps along side mine,
just as if we walked along together.
I look at you and smile,
you smile too.
Suddenly I slip,
falling.
I call out your name then I stop,
knowing I need you no more.
You can not reach me.
You can not save me.
You have lost me...
