Foreigners buying/using in Thailand.

You would be pretty stupid to attempt to source whilst in places like that, especially when it's well known that SE Asia has quite the reputation in terms of not having remorse for foreigners when it comes to drugs. As others have already posted, surely you could just drink while you're there.

The only thing I know about Thailand drug market, is what my friends who go there all the time tell me.
They say taht you get asked if you want drugs everyday, often multiple times, and you also get asked if you want sex, they made emphasis on "You want boygirl??!" Or something like that, for a woman with a dick.

Freaks me the fuck knowing the drug set you up, I wouldn't buy drugs there, fuck THAT.
My anxiety is high enough :p

I managed to avoid most of that while I was there and just stuck to what was available from the pharmacies. I had help with that as well as my father lives in Thailand and knows how to get what you need.

As for the sex thing... yeah it's hard to avoid in places like Phuket or certain parts of Bangkok. I wasn't a fan of Phuket, it is far too touristy. Chiang Mai was my favorite city, much less seedy, hassled by people on the street less and there were very nice people. Also they had these huge markets at night on the streets that sold some great stuff... even tasers and pepper spray if you felt you needed some self-defense. ;)

Sounds like an amazing place, I cbf to go back through this whole thread, mind telling me what you could get at the chemist?
I think I remember reading something related a few pages back ages ago, but I can't remember.

^^ mainly just benzo's (xanax valium) that i have encountered and viagra too.. thats in koh samui where I got them. I was silly enough to purchase Ice (top qual too) but I never would have risked it if it wasn't from drinking and taking xanax.

So be careful if you go there with the mindset of 'I'll just get hammered of the drink and benzo's' cause walking around in that mindstate with a little thai man asking 'hey wat u want , wat u wan? ice ?' can be harder to say no to than u think...

Anyways getting married there in Apirl and don't want to fucked in front of fam/friends so I think I might give the Ice a miss this time.. and maybe then xanax.... oh nooo not the xanax..

Just take a taxi, or if on the cheap, the train, to Aran, walk across that little bridge, and cadge a ride in Pnohm Penh. Anybody doing drugs in Thailand is out of their mind. I let myself go into withdrawal anytime I transit that shi*hole, one step above Singapore and Malaysia. Cops and scamp artists out the ying yang and sometimes both at the same time. Word to the wise, any nation that can get a urine on demand and/or measure your pupils is not a nation you want to imbibe in, especially with Pnohm Penh a 15 hour drive out of Bangkok, including the border.

haha, I like how this thread has gone away from avoiding drugs in Thailand to promoting the benefits of Thai bar girls and the glory of asian pussy. Not to mention shite kebabs continual rants about ladyboys.

ShiteKebab; you seem to have a bit of a fixation mate. Where you tricked in Thailand once, or just curious? Give it a try, it might be a beautiful thing;)

In the interests of harm min when it comes to bar girls. Make sure you wear a condom boys. This goes for girls not in the game too. Thailand has a high rate of HIV, and it is high amoung hookers.

Sustanon: I am with you all the way about asian pussies. I had yellow fever for a number of years. I now have a white girlfriend, and though she is fine as all hell, making the transition back to caucasian virgina has been difficult. Not as tight.

P.S: I apologise to the women on the forum if this post is a bit vulgar.:\

WOW! this is the only positive thing i have read on thailand!!! I spent some time ther too and simply.....wont go back, if this is how they appreciate our business (which is what it is) by police set ups and scams. I'll go elsewhere, let 'm suffer without the tourist industry for a while 'til they realize.....you cant spent money in their jail!!......right about the tight!!

It concerns me a little to see so much negative reviews about Thailand in this thread, as I am hoping to move there for a few months to a year depending how finances work out in the next 6 months. I am personally going there with the opposite intention of doing drugs other than alcohol and the odd OTC benzo but it is slightly worrying to read that it can be such an oppressive place, especially when I would probably piss dirty for cannabis for atleast a month or so after getting there...

If anybody needs a reason not to fuck with the law in Thailand they should read 'The Damage Done' by Warren Fellows, granted that happened a few decades ago and things are slightly better now, but Bang Kwang is pretty brutal, and if you caught yourself in a more rural remand prison like up north of Chang Mai you still might find yourself suffering similar conditions for a number of months.

I was speaking to an Aussie guy last night in Colombia, who got arrested for one valium pill in Thailand. He spent one week in prison, and had to pay $2000 to get out.

So keep in mind that even pharms carry risks, and even though you buy them from a chemist they are not legal without a script.

DrugMentor: It wasn't always a bad place of course. What ruined it? Yaa Baa. That crap infiltrated every level of society, and scared the shi* out of its already fascist government. In 2002 they launched their "War on Drugs," and unlike the term's usage in the West, it was a real "war." Officialy they murdered just over 3,000 addicts. They gunned them down in broad daylight. Unoficially thousands more died. This is a country, that when I was a boy, had legal opium dens. Countries change. They don't murder foreign addicts but neither do they have any problem locking foreign addicts up.

There is always going to be people who went, got high, had a great time and laugh at advisements but for a simple taste of what Thai offers the intrepid tourist, float on over to Youtube and look at the videos on the jetski scams. It just isn't a fun place. If you love to drink, have sex with bar girls (prostitutes), and/or ladyboys, it is a great land. I'm just dreading the day I find Cambodia has "caught up" to Thailand.

Simply put, DONT go to Thailand.

Simply put, dont do drugs or be VERY careful with them in Thailand.

I love Thailand, have been there twice, for a total of about three months. The beaches are great, the people are nice, the food is some of the best in the world. its also reasonably safe, and easy to get around. Sure there are scams, but no more than many other big 3rd world tourist resorts.

Compare that to say south america, where I am now. Its a great place but Ive got to watch my personal safety alot more, and be on the lookout for being robbed.

Word, south america is dicey at the best of times.

Thailand is a walk in the park compared to some S.A countries.. eek.

But good advice. At the end of the day i think it just comes down to COMMON SENSE !

I've receantly returnd from thailand and it was f*****g amazing! anyone who says stay away has must never been there or accidently married a ladyboy or something!! Drugs are widley available in thailand, i was asked at least 5 times a day in phuket if i wanted to buy coke or weed, mostly by taxi drivers which i would recommend staying away from, i was also offerd weed by a hotel bar worker that i used to play pool with but again declined but would say this is the safer option rather than just being propositioned on the street. If your going to buy drugs in these areas do it off someone youve befriended or off other tourists that have already sourced there own to get you some next time they are buying for themselves. The most populer drug is yabba with a lott of bar girls and ladyboys being addicts, take care in waking alone down patong beach road late at night as there are ladyboys waiting on the side streets to robb drunk tourists. they pretend to try and grab your man bits whilst there friend pick pockets you as my friend found out much to my amusement, Watching on in a drunk state as two ladyboys swing off your mate's pockets is rather funny (especially when i was holding all the money) I spent a few days on phi phi where i wasent offerd anything but saw a few backpackers smoking weed on the beach, then spent a few days in koh samui where i was also offerd coke and weed but again declined. I then moved on to koh phagnan, koh phagnan is where they have the full and half moon partys. there are places that actually sell ready rolled spliffs and mushroom shakes behind the counter here, and as long as you stay an consume whatever youve bought on the premasis then there is no problem what so ever, the police turn a blind eye (as they have been payed off) but the minute you leave and take your s**t with your your fare game. My take on all this is STAY AWAY from drugs in places like bankok or phuket but on the islands i think a bit of weed or mushrooms is o.k as long as you do it back in your own room or the bars you can buy them from. Be especially carefull though in koh phagnan round full moon or half moon partys as the police are out activley trying to bust people for drugs so be warned and try never to source your stuff from strangers. thailand is an amazing place so much so that im thinking of buying an apartment here an staying for 6 months a year. Just be as carefull as you would in any new place, have manners and treat people with respect and youll be fine. :D

I would advise staying away from anything illegal in ANY country with strict laws. The last thing you wanna do is 17 years in a Thailand prison....if you even make it out alive and without a drug addiction + HIV or something. I once watched a movie based on Thai prisons...two American woman were wrongfully sentenced, one of the woman got a bad fever and nearly died coz i little cockroach crawled into her ear O_O!

As for the hookers over there, its probably safer to stick your dick in a power point lol. Just keep it in your pants while over there (hell even while in Western Countries), its not worth the risk! If you;re really hard up, your hand is much cleaner lol

^ they have these marvelous things called condoms. dont know if you've heard of them.

I've been to Thailand once, about half a decade ago and I had a great time.

I stayed at a health spa in Koh Samui for a week (fasting and giving myself enemas thrice daily) then took a ferry to Koh Pangang, which has been mentioned in another thread for being famous for its full moon parties. I spoke to a puk puk driver in Samui and the subject came up. Him: "Where are you going next?", Me: "Koh Pangang", Him: "Ohhh sex, drugs and rock and roll!" It's no secret that many drugs are consumed in the country.

It was great fun, the people really were great. I heard that before going and thought "Yeah, great people, cool", but meeting a genuine Thai person is a great experience and renews some of my faith in humanity. The amount of kindness and warmth that beams from some of these people is indescribable. I am pretty sure I was being hit on at the health resort when one of the female staff who could not speak much English said I was "very beautiful", which took a few repititions and help from her friend who was more knwledgable of English, before I understood what she was saying. Flattered, yes, but I don't believe in the rule about cheating on people in another continent being fair game.

Anyway, if you're not too obvious, stupid or disrespectful, In my experience it isn't more likely you would get done over there than any other place I've been, including home. Obviously the penalties are much harsher, but if you have some common sense and listen to the many warnings about scoring from dodgy characters or police, you should be fine. It's a great place and definitely worth travelling to if you're into travelling.

Probably best to stay away from illegals like Yaba but for prescriptions like Diazepam or Xanax go the doctor clinic and ask for it. 60 Diazepam, 60 xanax, the 2 minute easy session of just asking for it plus a letter from the doctor in English and Thai that makes it easy to travel around different countries with proof that I need the stuff. Total cost: $15 Aussie Dollars. Cheaper and less risky than getting stuff from pharmacies over here where you don't even know for sure what you're getting.
