For those scripted clonazepam

I have more prescriptions for clonazepam than any other pharmaceutical (and in 4 different countries!).

I'll take 0,5mg in the morning (unless I have a tolerance) and take more if I have to, rather than just "playing it safe", if you know what i mean,

Do you take Xmg 1 time a day or a few times? Im on effexor and it does work some but its not doing the job and i dont want to up the dose since it seems to do more bad than good.Im going to tell my doc i tried my friends kpins and they worked.I just want to be 'normal' as in not nervous when i shouldnt be, i know eveveryone gets nervous, its natural but i feel my anxiety is holding me back.

I know almost exactly how you feel i was Venlafaxine (Effexor) 150mg per day for 5-6 months, which my G.P prescribed me to 'help' my Anxiety induced depression (Her diagnosis) And to be honest they didnt help me one bit, although i probably made her job a bit harder due to the fact that i was using/abusing Benzos which were not prescribed, even though i explained to her as rationally as possible none of the 3 AD's she had prescribed me (Citalopram, Sertraline, Venlafaxine) Had not helped my Anxiety or Depression and that was in part the reason why i continued to use Benzos (admittedly at ridiculous levels due to tolerance) But to they at least took a slight edge of my depression, then after about a year of battling and bringing my level of benzo use down massively my G.P and a Psychiatrist decided there was nothing they could do for me or prescribe me until i was completely clean of benzos for 3-6 months even though id explained to them that id suffered the symptoms of Anxiety and depression for around 15 years and that i hadnt even discovered Benzos until around 3 years ago.

Well, we can't tell you what to say or what not to say to your doctor. I do know that Effexor and similar drugs can cause anxiety as a side effect. Depends on how it affects you. Be honest with your doctor about how your Effexor is treating you.

And to think my clueless G.P continued to prescribe me this for 6 months considering my levels of Anxiety seems a sick joke.

I used to be scripted 2mg daily in the psych hospital where I had it set up as .5mg @ 7 AM, 1mg @ 1 pm, and .5mg @ 9 PM. Because of the long(er) half-life of clonazepam in comparison to other benzos, I found that the effects were semi-cumulative. You may think I'd have wanted the 1mg dose first in the morning, but typically I was still steady from the previous days doses, so the .5 was all i needed in the AM. I'm the type of person who always prefers spreading shit out instead of binging all at once, though, so my opinion may be dif than most

The docs there also told me this was the best way to do it for most patients since some ppl end up with horrible rebound anxiety like 7 or 8 hours after a dose if they're on 2x daily schedule
