For those of you that take MDMA - how do you deal with your mis-informed peers?

Last time I checked I was a healthy drug user of 20 years who holds down a job, not addicted, doesn't suffer from anxiety or depression and has never ended up in hospital. I'd say I am exactly the type of member you need on bluelight.

How exactly are you leading by example?

Neither is encouraging non drug users to take drugs. If someone chooses to start experimenting with drugs I am more than happy to impart my HR knowledge.

This thread is about changing perception of those who are anti drugs. I believe the best way is to show them that taking recreational drugs safely, without becoming a disruption to society, and by living a "normal" healthy life away from drugs is possible. You are never going to see change if the rest of society is confronted by ill effects from irresponsible drug use

You fail as a primary care provider.:(

You failed the mental part :p

Actually I didn't on the mental part alas. I have more qualifications and papers that I know what to do with :| I failed at the physical part he ho, but excel at the emotional ;) Facilitating wellbeing is my end game here. What's yours?

I expected more of you here Busty. You've disappointed me. So many amazing qualities, but you'll not share, wtf is that about? 8( Get a grip my man and come back into the fold <3

The reported brain damage in rats was 'olneys lesions' - large voids in the brain. This was often used in anti-mdma propaganda. However, there is NO evidence that this effect has ever been demonstrated in humans. As SHM sez, 'we are not rats'. Unfortunately, this also brings into question other research carried out on rats and how that translates into human behaviour - e.g. 'Rat Park'. The findings from Rat park would seem to be logical, but I fear that humans will often abuse anything in any situation, however comfortable or happy they may be. Human nature innit?

Wasn't olneys lesions ketamine? The famous Willard White article?

Yes, you're right - it seems to be something peculiar to NMDA receptor antagonists such as ketamine, DXM and tiletamine (in rats). However, sensationalist propagandists have attributed this type of damage to MDMA and also methamphetamine I believe - possibly by getting NMDA confused with MDMA, and then extrapolating to MA.
