For Koneko: New Years resolutions, what do you want to change?

Dragons also live on aluminium foil for shits and giggles

Be a great father by encouraging my kids imagination and intellect, be a great husband by always reminding my lady how awesome she is
Create and collect more art. This also includes turning my work into a rotating art gallery to display my collection ( does make it a nice tax break at the same time)
Complete some training in Los Angeles and catch up with friends while I'm there
Work my arse off the next six months and encourage my staff to do the same so I can reward us all with a hefty bonus come July 1
Read six books for fun (I usually struggle to find the time to relax). I just finished Tom Petty' autobiography while camping so this should be achievable at least.

OTW: I know it may sound condescending but have you read David Copperfield? It's a long read in general but once you get the first few chapters is really engrossing. Really worth a read there is a reason it's called a classic. I was rather surprised tbh. I rather enjoyed it.

Yeah I read that as a kid. Now days I prefer non fiction, particular biographies of musicians, explorers or scientists.

Most nights we also fall asleep holding hands while listening to an audio book. Currently we are listening to Stephen Kings Dark Tower series. I read it before but it is the lady's first time. I don't consider this reading a book though

Never done the whole New Years resolution's thing, but I'm going to aim towards sobriety , conplete sobriety . I'm 26 years deep in heroin, my family don't want for anything. But I think I owe it to them ,this is my choice Im under no pressure from anyone , but for the first time in my life ,I want it.
It scares the fuck out of me I don't even remember what being totally clean ,feels like or is. I've maintained my habit through prison sentences , rehab stays and periods abroad.
There is no running away from it , I have to want this , and I do I feel it's time.
I'm 45 and if I haven't achieved it by the time I'm 50 , I don't think it'll happen.

She's never been exposed to any thing , but the thought of my 10 year old growing up knowing what I do upsets me. She starting to ask why I go out to my shed/ smoking den so often. And kids ain't stupid. She wants to come in and watch football with me , and it kills me saying no , and blaming it being smokey n there .
I try and wait till she's in bed but , it's not allways possible. I'm fucking crying right now reeding this I'm done

Those are lovely resolutions. The best of luck with it all :)

Get a degree, be more motivated, stop worrying about things I can't change or influence. Also I'd like to quit smoking, said I'd manage it before I hit thirty so gonna give it a go. Not a big fan of new year in general but I find it helpful as a starting point as opposed to just randomly deciding to make a change half way through the year.

Dammit Snollz, I had to re-read that as at first glance I thought you said you wanna quilt! I'm all, Lemmy be the first to be gifted with one. You quilty temptress! damn you! damn you to quilt hell!

I still love ya though ( quilt )

I'd like to maintain the momentum I feel I have in my life lately.

As part of this of this I need to curtail my participation in risky sexual activities. Because I'm a bit of a dick like that.

Well 2015 turned out to be a big change in my life so i think ill try to keep things moving along this good path...
so...
be a good father and husband
be better at my job and potentially engage in more academia
have fun while doing all the above....
