If I'd gather the moments
That I felt hopeless
And cut out my pictures of happy
And smiled for awhile
Like an innocent child
About all the times that you had me
I'd wish for a day

"There's nothing but you in my world"
But wishes and kisses
Are similar visions
And I'm just a sad little girl
So I play in my toy box
And think of the tear drops
That once soaked my pretty white dress
On your pedestal ledge
Peeking over the edge
Gaining view of my unsorted mess
Could you see from that distance
That I was no princess
And little dark demons surround me
As I sank night and day
In my own sort of way
To this freezing degree where you found me
Can I pull back the drapes
Throw away all my hates
And then dance from my own private hell?
Or can I regret it
Or forget that I said it
I loved you, if you couldn't tell.
