Mental Health For anyone who's on it, what drugs have notable interactions with Wellbutrin?

A few months ago I was diagnosed with bipolar and put on Lamictal, Seroquel, and Wellbutrin. I stopped taking the Seroquel after about a week because fuck that but I've been on Lamictal and Wellbutrin ever since. I decided to take a break from drugs around the time I was diagnosed but I'm interested in getting back into things again now that I've had time to clear my mind. Lamictal I know isn't really notable for having a lot of interactions with other drugs but Wellbutrin, however, is. I don't think it's quite as bad as something like lithium or an SSRI/MAOI but I've heard that there are a lot drugs which are affected by its inhibition of CYP2D6 and its action as an NDRI. It's my understanding the former makes it incredibly dangerous to take DXM while on it, and I've read reports of negative reactions to even therapeutic doses. The latter likely makes it dangerous to combine with stimulants and I've noticed that even caffeine seems to feel much stronger with more negative side-effects, although that could also be because of the CYP2D6 inhibition. I've tried alcohol and cannabis on it and they seem to have much stronger subjective effects. I've heard drinking while on Wellbutrin can be dangerous but I'm not exactly sure why. As far as I can ascertain it increases the seizure risk after drinking heavily or for long periods of time, but I don't really understand why it makes alcohol so much strong. I'd also imagine a lot of pro-drugs are affected by its effects on drug metabolism, but I haven't found any specific examples.

Those are just a few examples. I'm still doing a lot research but I'm curious if anyone has experience mixing it with other drugs. So far Wellbutrin has really helped me with stuff like motivation, focus, and weight loss so I'm keen to stay on it, at least until I'm through with school and at my goal weight, but I'm also keen to start doing drugs again. I don't really think there's necessarily a causal link between my drug use and having bipolar, I think I would've gotten it no matter what given my family history and it would've been a lot harder to deal with. If anything, maybe it exacerbated some of my symptoms but that's neither here nor there.

Drinking is dangerous because it lowers the seizure threshold, IIRC.

I think the obvious contribution to this thread would be don't take too many stimulants while on Wellbutrin because of the risk of heart attack etc.

Never knew about the CYP2D6 and all, so cool info.

Man, I miss my wellies.
