I wrote this, years ago, for someone who never got to see it, and that makes me happy, cos they never deserved it. Then suddenly you get to know someone who fits the poem!!!What do you do? You show the world that the jigsaw piece behind the couch will show up eventually! Don't ya have a dyson? Words are changed, poem is restructured, for you, honeychild!!!!!!!
"For A Girl"
Do you not catch my innocent eye and lead it, and me, through a million days of joyous trance like states of emotion?
Leaving me stranded in a euphoria only ever felt seconds before orgasm!
Does not your ghost within haunt me through every closed eye picture, every movie I make in my head and dominate every dream my restless sleep can ever cast?
You enter, leave, then re-enter the horizons upon the landscapes of me.
Have me erecting a pedestal that lets you tower above my world forever.
Reachable only by climbing the blocks in my memory.
Blinkered to the existence of all but you!
You take me down once journeyed highways, slaughtering the ghosts of sexual encounters past until they moan and curse me and throw themselves at your feet to declare you my now and my future. Then they shake me out before you.....you......the rhythm of thought in my useless head
Was I not reincarnated in the colours of your choosing? The heart of the poet with a love endless for you?
This Frankenstein you have created with eyes that look upon views of you.
Endless stretches of beauty.
Once....in a dream....you walked far and away from me.
I cried blood at the thought.
Split the heavens with my anxious screams.
Resurrected Jesus with my obsessive, fumbling madmans prayers.
Then I awake to find the room filled with you as the weight of my sadness is lifted and thrown away by the sheer strength of my happiness.
Upside down, inside out, dumbstruck and speechless.
Caught within the strange buzz before a voice is heard, that small flaw in the speed of sound.
I always notice it when I kiss you.
Forever in that valley I am.
Spinning like the planets in our solar system.
Banging, crashing.....but always suspended!!
Did I not argue with the echo of my heart?
The sickening pulse of the beat that sends my soul dancing across strange worlds to entwine with yours?
Do I not crash through the minds of our unborn children, lined up in your womb to await the entrance we must create for them? Do I ?
