I know that this subject was touchy based on what happened with misidentified Bromo-DFLY, however, with the 2C's and NBOMe's all being scheduled now, it seems logical to me to see these start coming out.

Specifically I'm curious about 3C-B-Fly and 2C-D-Fly. How do their pharmacological profiles look? I never sampled 2C-B-Fly when it was around, specifically because I didn't have the money for it and I was having a love affair with 4-subs and MDMA at the time, but from what I saw it didn't seem like a bad chemical.

It just seems like we have a whole category of substances that has gone mostly unexplored due to the carelessness of a vendor but as we get down to the wire on everything being scheduled, would it not be better to explore these than the next random Chinese creation or is there something about these that makes them highly unfavorable besides the two deaths from Bromo?

Loooong duration, full agonism that makes them more on a par with the N-Bwhatever phens than with classics or 2Cs, powerful vasoconstriction... IIRC. Having said that, bromo-dragonfly was distributed quite widely at festivals and whatnot here (UK) in about 2008 and was pretty well recieved, I only heard good things, didn't try it because I was too busy taking "proper" psychedelics and the duration sounded a bit much. FWIW these things are covered by the catch-all clause in the UK. I think these chems are probably more worthy of exploration than bk-2Cs (really now). I'd still probably prefer to take a 4-subbed trypt, and for my money, mescaline analogues are probably more interesting than these. I also haven't seen any of these sold for a long time, there are probably more worthwhile and easily sourced drugs, but gopher it.

DOx-DragonFLY are strong full agonists with a duration of up to three days. You can see how shit went lethal with bromo (which also had unidentified synthesis impurities) where people were taking 20x the dose believing it to be 2C-B-FLY 8o

2C-X-FLY and DOx-FLY should be rather similar to their parent compounds though, 2C-B-FLY is a partial 5-HT2A agonists with high affinity for 5-HT2B and C. 3C-X-FLY I believe should have more of a stimulant edge than psychedelic.

I have a feeling that the way hemiflys bind to the receptor would be more similar to tryptamine pharmacology than a standard 2C's binding profile would be. I think some active molecules could be achieved by further combining the tryptamine structure with the phenethylamine structure in a number of ways. Compare to the n-benzyl phenethylamines, ergoloids, psychedelic amphetamines, and the compounds from this thread:

It appears that while you can get some super potent chemicals by putting the right substitution on a backbone of an already established psychedelic family, the most active chemicals are the ones that have more rings and are generally bigger molecules. There are literally hundreds of active molecules that could be produced by small alterations of what we have.

In regards to the qualitative effects of the flys and dflys, the hemi-flys sound the best, followed by flys, and then dflys (this one having a step up in visuals too I think)
If there were a research team on this, I'm sure they could produce a psychedelic that antagonizes 5-ht2b and goes easy on the vasoconstriction.

Possibly an extrapolation from the widely reported similarity between 2C-B-FLY and 2C-B.

If I remember correctly, there are a whole lot of chemical possibilities with these families. It just surprises me that there hasn't been more exploration, especially with how similar 2C-B-FLY and 2C-B were reported to be as has been mentioned.

At least we would have orally active compounds unlike the annoying n-benzyl PEAs. I like to just weigh out some material, place it in a capsule, then eat it. None of this other nonsense trying to achieve activity.

I agree with you babylonboy that I would probably still prefer 4-sub tryptamines but there are so many that enjoy phens, they're always going to want a replacement for the 2-carbons.
