Flying with Hydrocodone

I may have a need to fly from the US to Canada for a week. I don't have a prescription for Hydrocodone 10/325 but take them regularly. How can I travel there with about 15-20 for the trip, is there anything I should be aware of, and is it possible? Any advice is appreciated.

Without a prescription and the bottle with your name on it, customs would almost certainly confiscate it, and/or arrest you.

But codeine is OTC there I believe...

i was there this summer hoping it was going to be OTC but as of 2021 no luck...

You can ask for codeine at any pharmacy. You’ll have to give your id and it will be logged. They come in 100 pills per bottle.

I’ve flown internationally 20x over the past 6-7 yrs and I’ve never had my medication bag inspected,just buy a small generic bottle of Tylenol and empty them out and put the hydros inside and put them inside your medication bag ( clear plastic zipper bag),bring along 5-6 prescription bottles with you even if they are not needed…
