Flying Dreams

^
Interesting....
I really like trying to interpret my dreams. I guess everyone does to a degree.

It always freaks me out when a random dream from some ramdom night in the past pops in my mind for no reason whatsoever. I try to quickly analyse the dream memory because it seems to leave my conscious rather quickly. And once its gone I honestly cant/ dont know how to access it again. Its like its not stored in my memory bank,
but while I am recalling it I can remeber it like yesterday.
I cant really make a conection to dream and what is going on at the moment. But then again if I try to think about interpreting the dream and the dream at same time it will flee. I have to just stay in the dream memory for it to "survive".
Its not me imposing a dream on a thought or memory, its an actual dream I once dreamed.
All I can conclude is it is the dream memory on the way to the recyling bin, and I get one last look to say goodbye.
Maybe it wasnt significant enough to get stored with dream memories I can recall. Just weird why it wouldnt get cached out for years and years.
Crazy how your brain can store so much dam information--but can forget the car keys on the way to the car.
Apologize if post was confusing, hard to explain something you really dont understand.

That happens to me too, just these crystal clear flashbacks to a moment or scene in a dream from some recent night. It's very hard to keep dreams in memory for me, it's something I want to work on.

I've honestly have thought about hypnosis to access these dream memories.
I dont put a lot of stock in dreams honestly,
most seem pretty simple in interpreting,
but sometimes I wonder if my subconscious is trying to have an actual conversation with my conscious. lol

^ Interesting. When flying I used to return to a place in youth often…

Ubi,
Archetypes are collectively inherited in life, shape human behavior to an extent I would say, and are reflected somewhat in symbols noticed in waking states or more often as unconscious ideas, images that come to us in dreams, sometimes repeatedly.. if there is need to resolve. They are universally present in every individual… inborn.
Jung passed in the late 50's or 60's (?), he describes them as innate, or primordial… very deep elements within us, of ourselves…
A scientist might see archetypes as more innate patterns of behavior… or as a more modern concept, not so jungian.

Anyways, you mention, -- that you are flying above people, and feel responsible for them.
This means a lot and has archetypal meaning we all share… This is innate I would say, but also points to happenings in our lifetime. I don't feel it's one or the other. Do you feel you must save any of them? It's such a compelling dream I am just curious.
Also, people have jobs that fit their typology sometimes… What do you do for work? Is it a helping type role of any sort? Would anyone you work with represent these people you feel responsible for?

This is a common simplistic example of some archetypes, more societal examples, visual types
www.soulcraft.co/essays/the_12_common_archetypes.html

But they have deeper rooted meaning. The above is very simplistic.

I work with animals that need help regaining the trust of human hands. I work mainly with pups, one at a time..

I have my concerns about mankind, I worry and yeah, feel oddly responsible which is nuts right, at least in a way, it must be. Some delusional grandeur I have that I might be able to actually do something to help out, in some significant way.

So far I'm just a bum really when it comes to human society.

Animals and green things like me though. Which is all I need.

Me too, it will flee when I try. And sometimes in the day a part of the dream will surface then slip away again and I can't grasp it…
There is something called selective memory. I wonder how this comes into play with dreams…. If it does at all.
It truly is crazy how it works.

What a wonderful job. I relate. Hardly a bum.
I am doing pet care right now myself. I used to work directly with people in behavior health, but I love animals. I always have and sometimes I dream I am trying to save them all and there are just too many out there.

Yes Smoky, that´s very true indeed!!
I would actually work as a volunteer when it comes to animals.
Must be nice for you to be doing pet care!:)

@zzz
opinions on Datura?

It can be very intense. It was the first drug I ever did. If you do it, be very careful with your dosing. Very easy to OD and there is nothing they can do about it. Any other questions, feel free to pm.

1 Hour Sleep Hypnosis: Higher Self Healing for De…: http://youtu.be/HpHKf4tlvFw

I dont know how you may feel about "hypnosis"
but being able to focus on a specific thought without distractions is so dam relaxing.
It will make your peaceful sleep even more peaceful imo. It will carry over into your daily life.
I used to think it was a bunch of nonsense, but I was wrong. I didnt realise you can/are actually "hypnotizing" yourself by confirming truth.
Anywho, the link is a good start if you are looking for more peaceful/less fearful dreams.
Identify your fear/emotional baggage and let it go.
If you truly want to fly in your dreams.....

good question. will do. i respond really well to guided visual mediations but not so much others, as far as drifting into dream land.
