All I can say is that the para-chloro analogue is a really bad fucking idea. Para-chloro-amphetamine is not something that a human should ever take, unless you are looking to permanently get rid of all your serotonergic neurons.

What causes the toxicity exhibited by para chloro compounds?
Is it something that fluorine, iodine and bromine also exhibit to a greater or lesser degree?

Out of curiosity (& why not), do 4-pseudohalogenamphetamines exhibit the same toxicity (eg 4-cyano & 4-isothiocyanate derivatives)?

I'm not sure how many 4-substituted amphetamines have actually been tested for neurotoxicity, and I've never seen any references to 4-cyano or 4-isothiocyanato amphetamine.

4-trifluoromethylamphetamine has certainly been made though and I don't believe there is any evidence that it is neurotoxic, although I'm pretty sure it causes damage to your heart valves (although not as badly as 3-trifluoromethylamphetamine)

Maybe the mechanism for neurotoxicity involves metabolism to an active species, that would explain why the fluoro analogue is not toxic, and certainly you would expect the bromo and iodo substituents to come off pretty easily and the chloro will be fairly easy to remove. Never really looked into the mechanism but I presume it is similar to what MPP+ does to dopaminergic neurons.

^ Not from the aromatic ring. As a rule, once a halogen is attached to an aromatic ring it's metabolically stable & can't be prised off for love nor money. It can't be the electronegative properties if trifluoromethyl isn't neurotoxic (the heart problems will be via 5HT2b agonism as that's the cause of pulmonary hypertension). All I can think of is it must be in some way linked to the size of the halogen group as CF3 & F ar pretty small in comparison to the likes of say a Br atom.

Why the size would be important is utterly beyond me though

Now that had chance to actually give the advert 'this is your brain, this is your brain on drugs...' where they fry the egg some validity as the straight amphetamine derivative is horribly neurotoxic

Swim obtained 250mg a few days ago. Swim insufflated 25mg at first and felt a very mild crank-like buzz that kicked in after about 5min lasting for about 30 minutes. Then another 25mg a few minutes later and that lasted about an hour. Swim then did the remaining amount all at once the next day and got those nice crank-like surges of energy. Although they came one much quciker than with cat, meth, fmp/fma they subsided much quicker. This tapered off within an hour into a pleasant feeling with enhanced awareness and increased energy, but not like with meth or a larger dose of cat etc where you feel like you are about to jump out of your skin.

Swim definitely likes it, but they should have done it all at once. They assume the whole experience would have lasted about three hours had they done that. Although Swim felt great throughout the whole bioassasy it was somewhat reminiscent of an inefficient dose of meth. Only mild seretogenic affects where observed as they assumed. Swim recommends an insufflated dosage of 250-300mg. A good oral dosage is probably around 400-500mg. Swim just wishes that this RC lasted longer, but it’s nice for those days where you just want to take it easy… peace.
