I recently purchased an EZ test Extreem kit. =D
I tested a pill and am unsure of the marquis result.

Simmons: dark/royal blue within seconds. MDxx substance?
Robadobe: no reaction,. So no MDA or PMA

This is the one that confuses me,
Marquis: Instant black. I tried swirling it, but all I could see was black, no visible purple or blue. :(

What could this indicate?. Am I safe to presume a possible MD substance from the combined result?

Cheers,
Phonic

If you are to assume only a single active substance is present, then a positive with Simons and an MDXX like reaction usually indicates the presence of a either MDMA, MDEA or MBDB. You might find that using a smaller sample with Marquis may improve colour recognition.

Of course one of the kit limitations is that many things turn black with Marquis, and any secondary amine will also produce a blue colour with Simons reagent.

Yeah I see what you mean!:( Only if the manufacturing was regulated8)

Anyway, thanks for the response mate.

simons does not react with mbdb. mbdb isn't a secondary amine...
