First time smoking weed

I was going to buy OG bubba kush from someone for $10, it's only a 0.5 gram. Probably the smallest amount out there, though the thing is, is that i have anxiety. So would smoking weed increase my anxiety more? I tend to be a really mellow person, but i do get anxious a lot.
 
I'd start with smoking half, maybe even less. I suffer from anxiety and personally I find indica strains like this help with my anxiety. I find with the sativa buds my mind gets racey and i start over thinking things and start freaking out. A nice bubba is a good start for someone who has anxiety I think, I smoke a lot of bubba and I love it.
 
I didnt enjoy it the first 5 or so times, after that it gets better.

Take 2 small hits and see how you feel. SMALL.
 
Are you in a state will medical marijuana collectives? If not I would ignore the strain names. If you are then OG Bubba may be a decent choice. OG's grown right tend to be a pretty heavy stone and can arise some anxiety if you smoke a lot. Bubba on the other hand is a heavier stone as well but, it is still mellow and tastes great. The Bubba kush high is not a big anxiety causer. Although, it can happen. Just remember you chose to smoke cannabis and it will fade away in time. There is nothing really to be anxious about. The anxiety related to cannabis goes away as you get use to the high. Bubba OG (if it is actually that cut) will most likely knock you out as it is indica dom. You may be better looking for a sativa dom hybrid for a good beginner smoke as it won't make you pass out. Though, if not in a medical state then you are pretty out of luck for accurate strain choices.

As others have mentioned, some people do not enjoy the experience the first few times. I attribute that to beginners getting too stoned as as a new smoker the experience can be pretty wild. I wish I could get as stoned as your about to=D It tends to get better if one does not instantly enjoy the buzz. When i was younger I definitely had anxiety from certain strains high. But, these days cannabis is certainly a great anti-anxiety.

Alright, so basically you will learn that there are different types of weed (indica/sativa). When I smoke indica(like your Bubba OG), it helps my anxiety. When i smoke sativa, it doesnt help. You have to choose what is better for you. Since you are new, ONLY smoke when you have extra time available, it can cause you to forget things (alot like benzos) but that will go away after a little while..As far as buying a gram that would be all you need, but i would buy an 8th at a time at least. Make it last. If you get anxious alot, you might find it can help you, but it could potentially cause social anxiety around people who are non-smokers. Just be yourself, and if you need to relax, smoke a bowl. Dont let it take your life over, remember it is an awesome herb. I ALWAYS have it around its medicine for me when I need it. (every day)


REMEMBER! Paranoia from being extremely stoned can, and will occur. Just relax, dont be paranoid. Enjoy it!

This strain in particular if you smoke too much, its just going to knock you out :) Relax, enjoy, and if anything feels wrong or overwhelming, just focus on your breathing by counting your in breaths, and out breaths. There's really not much to go wrong - you're probably going to love it :)
