I still remember the sad look on your face
I still remember every time and place
bein young and havin fun
How could I know it would end this way
I trace my pain back to that day
you told me all was wrong and nothing's right
All I want is to see you tonight
you'll never understand the way you made me feel
All the words I said were oh so real
You swore that it never could end
All I need is you as my friend
The past is gone, you made ur choice
All I ask is for you to hear my voice
I'm sorry for all I put you through
After all that, I didn't know what to do
Now, I am okay, yet still I miss you
I tried my best and you that's true
If it takes forever, I'll wait 'til then
If thats what it takes to see you again
I wish you would read this, but I know you never will
Alone tonight, that thought makes me ill
Somehow, I can;t put you out of my head
Yes, sometimes I would have rather been dead
If perhaps tomorrow could be yesterday
I would know all the right words to say
to truly show how much you meant to me
Maybe today, I'd be that guy I used to be.
