Hi, well i'd like to try and keep this short and precise instead of a long ramble. Been prescribed 20mg ir adderall 2x a day for a little over a few months. After taking the dosage recommended for the first week (orally and insufflation) i noticed that the euphoria, and extreme concentration/motivation of the medication was fading away as my body was getting used to it, and the negative side effects were more present. The negative side effects was of course a decrease in euphoria/mood lift, feeling extreme depression as soon as 3-4 hours after taking pill, along with some anxiety and feeling irritable slightly.
So i decided my best bet to retain the best effects of this medication would be too never increase my dosage when using it (60mg) and to take it only a few times a week. I struggled with this a little bit in the beginning and was taking it every other day, but slowly got to the point where I (now) only take it twice a week and no more than that. I STILL get the same effects every time as if like the first time i've taken it, and take a few other medications i am prescribed to (that i dont abuse) to counteract the crash along with some natural supplements. However, a friend of mine lately kept talking about how much stronger it is when plugging it.
As most of you know (I think) adderall has a low bioavailbity rate orally only around 25% some say 50% (idk why), insufflation has around 75% (i can testify from the first week of using adderall that it is stronger comes on faster, but doesn't last much long at all and requires a lot of snorting since the pills are huge). Then rectally they say is 95-99% bioavaiilbity considering you do it correctly. Now after my friend kept talking about how much stronger/better it is, i was convinced my biggest fear was going to a pharmacy in a store and asking for the syringe. However he told me to just ask for a 5ml ORAL syringe (no needles) and that they should have no problem giving it out, after getting over my fear i walked to the pharmacy and asked for it, without any questions the lady handed me two of them for free and i was pretty surprised.
So today being one of my adderall days, i didn't actually feel like doing it because i was slightly hungover after being at a bar yesterday afternoon (4 beers, 3 shots of liquor) and chain smoking. After coughing all night, and feeling a bit disconnected (typical hangover although it was very minor this time) i decided to take two of adderalls out of 40 i have saved up from not using them daily, so that's 40mg even though i usually dose at 60mg at once twice a week, i was just trying to be cautious incase my usual dose would make me feel sick or have negative side effects since i'm kinda sick. I took these two pills orally because i didn't feel like messing around with the process of plugging them, but when they kicked in i was lacking my typical euphoria, and decided fine ill get one more ill (20mg) crush it up in a small glass and pour a little water, mixed it around (poured a little too much water) and had my first experience with using any kind of syringe. Instead of laying down when doing it i was sitting up on the toilet and just clenched my cheeks real tight to avoid any leakage. Since i poured too much water with the adderall i had to use the syringe 3 times, stick it up their an inch or two and hold it for 30 secs to avoid losing any product.
When i was finally done i felt a few waves of tingles but couldn't tell if it was just the 40mg i took half an hour earlier or the plugging the 20mg. Over the next 20 minutes i felt my head slightly heavier and slight rushes, but in no way did i feel extremely hyper it was more calming, it's been an hour and a half since then, and i can say i do feel the difference after plugging the 20mg (if i wasn't sick i would of plugged the whole 40mg or 60). My adderall buzz picked up much intensity and is still going pretty strong and euphoric. Since none of it leaked out i am sure that almost all of it got absorbed however i should have done it laying down for it to further get to where it needs to go, but nonetheless i feel a great difference in the high. Body high is much boosted than normal euphoria is great but a bit more calm yet still real stimulated (good thing).
SO! My question is, is it normal for plugging adderall IR to really make the effects/high much stronger?? Common sense says duh because of the bioavailbility charts it's proven, but i wanted to hear from others? thanks.
