Treatment First time Opiate Withdrawal! PLEASE HELP!!!

Well, you are absolutely correct: heroin and fentanyl or oxycodone or even hydrocodone are essentially the same beast when it comes to how we use them to (try) to feel better.

Have you ever tried using gabapentin or pregabalin to treat the fibromyalgia? I feel like I have heard people use that to some success before, though I don't have first hand experience with it. I wonder if something like baclofen or even phenibut (ugh) would help with that? These are themselves strong medications that must be respected and taken as directed to be safe, but might not be as problematic for you as the opioids have.

Outside of pharmacological therapies, I wonder what you can do to help yourself. What is it like to have fibromyalgia?
 
what is it like to have fibro ...In my case I wake up feeling very very stiff like I am turning to stone , then I will get horrid muscle cramps from out of nowhere..then there is a burning sensation that can pop up out of the blue feel like my muscle being burned from the inside out, for the past month or so I have been wearing my underclothes and my sleep tees inside out because just having the seams on my skin hurts....basically fibro for me is like a surprise party but not a fun one, in and on my body ... the only thing that is not a surprise is the insomnia from hell....it really sucks I complain a lot have no energy to go do much ..... We also had toxic black mold in our home that we didn't know about untill last year so some of this stuff might be from that too I just don't know ...the mold has been removed ...
 
pregabapentin and gabapentin are so great for opioid wds i used lyrica (pregabapentin), im surprised you were never prescribed either for fibro they are some of the best meds for fibro.
 
I am definitely going to ask my doctor about it I need to do something being in pain all the time is no life but living on those darn patches is no life either
 
I started my Gabapentin today so I'm really looking forward to seeing how it works I'm doing pretty good on my 25 patch drop that I did and now I'm officially prescribed 25 MCG patches
 
I am having some good days i seem to be handling the drop down to 25mcg patch pretty well just finished doing a whole 72 hours with that one patch ...the gabapentin seems to be doing a very good job with the fibro pain ...i have been getting headaches that's not normal for me but I am riding it out and I think after Easter I will drop my fent to 12 mcg I don't want to be in withdrawls while trying to make memories with my family like holiday stuff ....and I do have at least 6 months to taperdown I am just at a point I want off to see what my real pain issues are and maybe the gabapentin will control that ...thanks for asking tld I am on my phone so keeping it to the condensed version lol
