Hi there, for some reason the Shroomery won't let me register so if anyone with mushroom knowledge could help me out it would be much appreciated. They look like cubensis but I just want to make sure. Also I'm hoping the black stuff on them is ok to eat.
We don't do ID threads here, and just so you know, even on forums that do allow mushroom identification, to get a positive ID you should take spore prints etc too and not just rely on picture - particularly when specimens are dried and damaged.
If you bought/were given these from someone I'd ask them first to see if they know the strain.
Looks like those may be going moldy, but mushrooms aren't my area of expertise and it could be bruising? I'd recommend not consuming any yet and asking in the Big & Dandy Psilocybin Mushrooms Thread if that looks like mold or not, and I'd avoid eating them if it is, since it's a gamble I don't think you should take.
