Stimulants First Time Meth Pupil Dialation

Hey guys well im pretty sure im taking a turn for the worst here, i live in hawaii and well we have a big meth problem and lately ive been feeling a little down and out and have been tired of taking opiates dxm weed etc, so i hit up a former friend who is not a meth user to grab with tomorrow, apparently me and this guy have never been real close but he seemed extremely excited about smoking meth with me and to be honest he sounded very illiterate while typing me it was funny he jumbled (allofhissdwords togetherlikethis) i felt like he was already tweaked while messaging me on Facebook,hopefully thats not a side effect. but enough rambling, my question for all of you today is i plan on smoking/snorting the "ice" around 9-10ish in the morning and will be home around 3-4ish, do you guys think my pupils will still be dilated, my parents are kind of watching me closely since i just got out of the hospital for being drunk as a skunk and passing out in public 8) btw i only plan on "hitting the dragon" or whatever toking, or taking a hit once, and maybe snorting a small line, ill be picking up a 40 for the price of a 20 so im guessing a half a gram and will try and limit my usage to an eyeballed "point" or less. thanks in advance!

Okay, well I'll skip the whole "don't do meth" speech, even though I really don't think you should try meth. Having said that, if you do plan on trying meth, your pupils will be dilated for up to 24 hours.

Oh no… meth has a very long half life and therefore things like pupil dilation can last up to 24 hours. Why not just go home later than you planned? Or stay at your friends house?

Haha man if you react anything like me your pupils will be huge and fairly obvious you aren't sober. My first time was at athletics party (meaning all anti-drug types, except the one smoking crystal with me haha) and a few people asked if I was on pills due to my eyes and general behaviour.

I just claimed it was from heaps of vodka redbulls and they seemed to believe it(they'd go nuts otherwise) though so perhaps you could make a similar excuse?

Interesting, my pupils don't get that much larger on meth but then again I have brown eyes so it's hard to tell when they are dilated by someone 'not in the know'. Mushies, on the other hand!
I'll be more inclined to ensure you're not rambling random shit non stop around your parents, or sticking your jaw out in a gurn like position when talking. lol.

I find my pupils really get affected more by dextro-amphetamine than methamphetamine.

If you have light eyes, it will be obvious. Also, if they are actively looking out for off behaviour they will spot it, because if this is your first time on meth and you dont dose right, you will be acting really strange, jittery, and amped up.

If you have any more opiates, then your problem is solved my friend. I used to do a lot of Coke & Heroin (black tar), and I never had dilated pupils. Now of course Meth is different, but it's still a stimulant.

Yea if you do down when you've done meth your pupils will get constricted back to an almost normal size, at least that's how it's been for me on the few times I've combined the two.

We're telling him to mix opiates with his first time smoking methamphetamine to try and fool his parents that are already concerned about his substance abuse? Why not tell him to IV it so he doesn't smell like meth smoke?

whoever suggested mixing opiates in order to counter the pupil induced vasodilation is ridiculous... for so many damn reasons. let me list them:

1. methamphetamine is going to turn your pupils into saucers. mixing an opiate unless its incredibly potent and essentially overpowers the methamphetamine isn't going to constrict your pupils to anywhere near a decent level. cocaine is completely different drug.

2. you will essentially die by doing the above. the opiates will kill you.

3. if you do suddenly have the wise idea that using a weaker opiate (such as codeine or something) might do something to your saucer pupils (which it won't, trust me, i used to use this combo a lot - oxycontin and meth and my pupils were still enormous), you're going to be even more intoxicated, not to mention the added stress it puts on your body. if you can survive the stress it will however be a much different experience. you'll essentially never want to dose methamphetamine again unless you have opiates. see the pattern of destruction going on here?

4. now lets say the opiate does induce some kind of change to your pupil size, that will wear off faster than you can say shit. methamphetamine is very long lasting. most opiates have a shortish half life in comparison to methamphetamine, apart from a select few which would just be obscene to mix with methamp. essentially you're going to look even more bat shit fucked up, as your pupils start to get larger and larger and larger through this time period of the opiate coming out of you. hell, it would probably look as if you'd just taken something the moment you walked in the door or something i have no idea.

5. oh and lets not forget methamphetamine is a powerful stimulant, and I'm assuming you want all those stimulant feelings. the opiates will reduce them. sure they'll take some side effects away, but trust me you'll want to redose that meth when you realise that opiate buzz is killing your tweak. it's a stupid paradox.

now lets get onto what you can REALISTICALLY do to reduce your pupil size without killing yourself:

nothing. apart from sunglasses. you have to accept the fact that your pupils are going to be dilated as hell for the next 24 hours if you're going to be doing it and there is really no way around it.

i mean if you can get your hands on some pilocarpine eye drops that might work, but i have absolutely no idea what kind of interaction that would possibly have. most likely terrible.

Oh oops I should have mentioned that I was in no way endorsing mixing something like heroin with meth. I should have mentioned that. Really if you're worried about dilated pupils because of your parents, you shouldn't be doing something like meth.

Nor was I endorsing mixing heroin and meth together. I was just stating an example about my past coke and heroin use. And since opiates constrict your pupils, it would most likely work with meth as it did with coke. But now I know it doesn't, and I apologize for throwing down the jumping to conclusions mat.

treed, cocaine is a completely different beast to methamphetamine. in fact,the best cocaine i've ever taken dilated my pupils for a short time, then they returned to normal without the use of any other drug. fascinating in a way, but methamphetamine pupil dilation essentially never really lets up, regardless of using a potent opiate with it at the same time.

like everyone here has said, if your parents are really going to be on your ass about dilated pupils, don't take that hit. you're still obviously going to, but be forewarned you will have dilated pupils.

Maybe even take a few steps further back and think about what drove you to get black-out, emergency room-level drunk in public? I like my whiskey as much as the next guy, but I'm not only old enough to drink but I also can refrain from getting absolutely wasted, especially in public! If you can't stop yourself from doing that, how do you think you'll fend off the beckoning call of meth!?

Also, you even said that "most other drugs aren't doing it for you anymore", including even opiates! This is that huge fork in the road that every drug user eventually faces. Some of us stop at this fork and do some reflecting, think about what got us here and think about what potentially lies ahead. Others...well, they dose up on something stronger and see where it lands them. You and I both know how each road usually turns out for the person.

Listen to your parents dude. They know better than you do and they clearly care and are concerned about you. You are their child and you're causing them great pain and anxiety knowing that you are prone to such situations like overdosing. They're watching you closely because they're particularly trying to make sure you don't make a huge mistake like TRYING METH. Get your shit together man, c'mon...
