Hey for my first trip report I would like to talk about my first hallucinogenic experience ever. This happened a year ago, and up to this point I had only smoked weed and drank alcohol. So to start off, I had always wanted to try shrooms, and had been interested In them for years but could never get my hands on some. Finally one day the opportunity arrived and me and my friends bought enough for us to all trip together. No one in the group had any experience and this was the first time any of us had ever tripped.
The preparation: we spend about a week preparing for the trip mentally, in addition to creating a set list of music. In addition we spent money on black lights, posters, and other decorations to make the perfect tripping environment.
The trip:
T(0): we all eat the shrooms around 10. I eat 2gs while my friends eat 2.5
T(30): I start to notice the first effects. The come up is happy and makes me laugh uncontrollably. The feeling starts off similar to a stoned kind of feeling, but different. I look at a pattern of a flower on a nearby chair and notice that the flower seems to wiggle and move around, almost as if the flower were growing or blooming.
T(45): visuals begin to increase as well as the body high, colors seem brighter and everything looks out of place and strange.
T(1:00): at this point I am feeling the effects quite strongly, and am about to start peaking. I suddenly realize that I am high and haven't even smoked any weed, which freaks me out. I realize that I am in the midst of the fungi world. The visuals aren't overwhelming, but still quite strong. The colors have gone from brighter and more lively to super saturated, almost like they are out of a cartoon. Music sounds incredible in an indescribable way. It feels like the music is a part of everything, and I can hear notes that I had never noticed before.
T(1:10): we smoke some weed
T(1:30): I realize that I am peaking. Everything is just weird beyond words. My high starts to become more mental as strange thoughts begin flowing through my mind. When I look at my friends their eyes look like giant animated eyes bulging out. While going to get some food, I feel as if we are a group of trolls, or little mushroom creatures, tripping and scavenging for food with laughing uncontrollably. When we get back from the kitchen, My friend decides to turn the lights off in his room so we can stare at the glow in the dark stars on his sealing.
T(1:35): suddenly the music stops. My friend struggles to put the music back on but is tripping too hard and gives up. Shit hits the fan. We are all sitting close together in complete silence and darkness. Suddenly I am hit with waves of thoughts and revelations. Ideas fly through my mind which I had never thought of before, and leave just as soon as they come, only to be replaced with a new idea of equal brilliance. I thought about life, death, and love, but most importantly I discovered my ego. I met the ego within me, the person who I truely am, and realized that there is no such thing as a "reality", only perception of the world around us.
T(4:00): the trip is over
i just realized that my measure of time is probably off sigficantly, but this was a year ago so I don't remember all the details. All in all the experience was increble and life changing. Since then I have only tried a low dose of mushrooms once, and had one experience with 60mgs of 4-aco-DMT(very difficult), but I plan on trying more mushrooms in the near future.
