I am taking adderall for the first time. What is the right dose to help but not get high?

A decent dose for studying is between 10-15mgs

In my personal experience. That will put enough energy into you to accomplish whatever is necessary, without many drawbacks. Let us know how it goes. I've always been fond of amphetamines.

It's for attention deficit disorder, if taken at therapeutic doses. It is also used recreationally in higher doses. If used for school work it will allow you to concentrate perfectly. My girlfriend is prescribed it, she is going for her PhD. It makes her workload much easier.

When you take large amounts the crash is rough. If you ever go that route try and keep your doses reasonable.

The right dose depends on what you're using it for. As said, for ADHD (it's primary purpose) you want as low-a-dose as you can manage that still improves your focus and concentration.

If you actually have ADHD, ideally you should be getting a prescription from a specialist and working with him/her on the correct dose to improve your symptoms.

Really depends on height and weight which will determine the metabolism rate.

My girlfriend who is 5'6" and 118lbs is prescribed 25 mg which she always breaks in half when she needs to take one.

She's also a triathlete, swimming, biking and running 4 to 5 days a week and usually spends a couple hours in the gym two to three days a week so her metabolism rate is going to be higher than the average female of the same height and weight it's not an athlete.
