Ok. Here's my question of the day. It's clear that every drug at one time or another was legal for almost anyone to possess. During these times, people used these drugs, and once the authorities found out, they were quick to schedule them. During the 50's weed was legal, during the 80's E was legal, during the 90's (for a short time) 2C-B was legal. And please excuse me if I'm wrong about the dates, I'm just trying to think of examples. Now here's my question. What drugs are legal right now, that will at some point be scheduled? Salvia? MG? Hawaiian Baby Seeds? I'm just wondering. Thanks for input.

Check out http://www.erowid.org/ also be aware that some drugs while not scheduled will fall under the drug analog act and would be illegal if you inteded on consuming them.

Look on Erowid. Browse around on the internet a little bit. Since no sources are discussed here you'll have to find them anyway. Don't be lazy, go dig around. We're not going to beable to form you a complete list of legal drugs. If you can't figure some out from Erowid and searching, you should stay away from them, as you'll just get them made illegal for the rest of us. Just like 2C-T-7 is burned now because of stupid users.

The question is simple and the answer is complex. They have this thing called the Analog Drug Act, they also have the problem than many of the drugs and/or chemicals that have been scheduled exist in perfectly legal plants, and animals .Even in our own brains. The analog drug act says that any substance that has “substantially similar” effects as a scheduled or controlled substance is illegal. Hence all the “legal research chemicals out there like AMT, are illegal if they are sold to be consumed, however they are legal if you want to clean your tape deck with them. There was and still is quite a market for poisonous non-consumables. You can buy perfectly legal Morning Glory seeds which contain scheduled LSA….. you can legally buy a San Pedro Cactus that contains mescaline. The poppy seeds on your bagel ( uncooked) will grow into opium poppies…..and produce morphine for you if you take time and care to learn how to do it right. Your brain contains DMT. Visionary chemists like Alexander Shulgin as well as others have been designing and making novel new drugs for years and publishing how to make them for the world. The DEA will be chasing our tails until the end of time….. The number of uncontrolled legal psychoactive is HUGE, however the US government has placed this blanket “Analog Drug Act” over it all to prevent companies from selling these legal/semi-legal intoxicants for human consumption.
If you really want to get into this I would recommend looking at two books to start. Pihkal, and Tihkal. The drugs (some legal and some not) are available for viewing over at Erowid, however when you buy the books you get a whole lot of great stuff on top of the chemistry that relates to the history of drug policy and psychedelics in general. .
It will at least give you a taste. I have been researching psychoactive for 3+ years now and I am still finding new drugs and plants.

Stuff like 2C-T-7 and 5-MeO-DMT are some fucking POWERFULL PHSYCHOACTIVE COMPOUNDS, yet they are legal - BUT, they are covered under the analog act, so you could get fucked if you sold them AS DRUGS TO CONSUME..
What makes a drug illegal? Well, abuse! Once word gets out that some legal chemical will fuck you up, then the kids get ahold of it, and it's outlawed... we can expect to see MANY of the "research chemicals" scheduled C-I shortly, so stock up now!
