First LSD experience

Hey,

So I'm finally embarking on the quest that is acid...which should be fun. I have a couple of questions though, which should help me have an enjoyable time if anyone wants to help me out.

The first question is related to micro grams: if a seller says that a tab contains 190 ugs, how likely is it to be true? If it's fairly cheap, does this sound too strong?

The second is about my first trip. I am going to do it alone during the night, since I would be way too uncomfortable doing it elsewhere. Let me state that again: I AM going to do it alone. With that in mind, I wanted to know if anyone has any useful harm reduction techniques or tips to help ensure things go smoothly. I understand that the recommendation is to have a sitter, but I have no one who I am close enough to that I would be comfortable spending the night with sober, let alone tripping. I feel safe and comfortable in my house and nowhere else will be at this level.

My previous drug experience is very limited: I have done a fair amount of weed (but am not a regular smoker and don't have a supply) and I have done MDMA twice (on my own as well, it was very rewarding).

I only have a second, but I know there are many threads like this and I believe we have a B&D First Time Tripping thread(Big and Dandy). They all have tons of great info that I and others have posted. Dealers rarely truly know what mcg their LSD is unless their close to the source which isn't to common, either way just assume your tab is 190ugs but also remember that its probably more like 50-120ugs, as this is more standard, though it is possible to find high mcg'd hits.

P.S. Tripping alone is fine, not really recommended for a first timer, but its how it went down for me. If your comfortable with yourself, and enjoy being alone then this is totally fine. People over hype tripping with other people, sure its fun but its usually just a bunch of muddled laughter with the occasional hint of actual work or real talk, least with me. With the right person or a select small group can be good but I always find alone to be the best to work on yourself/your problems.

Thanks for the post, I have read through the mentioned thread and did find it quite useful.

I mainly stressed the point of doing it alone so I (hopefully) don't get people telling me not to, and instead get some useful advice.

Aye, chances are your dealer doesn't know, and that it's prolly weaker than that, but best to start with one just in case he's wrong the other way.
I started tripping by myself too, and it was mostly for the best. With other people if it's good it tends to just be shits and giggles and maybe a melty wall and shared delusion if you're lucky, but more often leads to uncomfortable tension and/or paranoia increasing with the number of people present and tripping.
If you have access a benzo like xanax or valium would be advisable to have on hand in case things get too intense/negative, and if you don't need it for that it can be useful if you can't sleep after you're down. I never had that in the early days, and I don't have it these days. Music works for that relaxing most of the time, something down to earth and positive and comforting. This helps me if things are getting too bleak:
Or too frantic and crazy:

Find lots of good music to listen to is what I'm saying, and have fun.

You'll live, and at that doseage you should not have to deal with forgetting that fact.

Doing it alone isn't a sin, its just some people either like, or feel better about eating chemicals when others are doing the same. For your first trip it is defintely recommended to have a sitter or at least someone you can talk to if need be. Though if your the type that simply doesn't need this sort of thing, then don't worry about it, i'm similar in that manner.

As for tips, like Golem said, just listen to music you love, have someone available to converse with as a distraction, or any distraction you like. Just remember its only a chemical, it will always end, nothing is really wrong unless something internally is bothering you and needs fixing. Just float down the lazy ricer and let things come as they are, and accept them as they are. Do not fight or struggle, just allow it to take its course.

LSD is an absolutely astounding and miraculous chemical. It has little to no side effects in most people and is an excellent psychotherapy tool when used correctly.
