Fioricet not getting me high

Hello all,

I took 350mg (7 pills, 50mg butalbital, 325mg APAP, 40mg Caffeine) and it does not seem to be working at all. Is there a reason for this? My doctor prescribed me Fioricet and Propranolol for migranes and I took my daily dosage of 2 40mg pills today. Could it be that the Propranolol is why I don't feel high at all?

Checking web md: "The barbiturate may increase how quickly your body processes the beta blocker. There may be some risk when taken together" I don't think it would affect it too much at normal doses. But you're well exceeding a normal dose and chances are the propanalol has nothing to do with your lack of high. It's simply your tolerance, so fioricet is not going to get you high anymore. You also need to be careful not to take so much because the acetaminophen can be toxic.

I agree with T Calderone. I hate to say this, but if your goal is to get high, look at what the drugs synergies with instead of how you are going at it. You are just waisting a great drug combo. Look up each drug on this.combo and go from there. I would tread lightly. The barbs and acetaminophen are a double whammy when it comes to the liver. Also the rebound headaches are a bitch. So unless your a glutton for punishment, I would reconsider your usage of this drug.

Your doctor will not prescribe you any more meds if you come in saying " this dose doesn't work. This drug is powerful. I'm just looking out for the health of a fellow Bluelighter.
