I was out of town last week. Went to a doctor who is non local and was prescribed prometh with codeine and a z-pack for what the doctor believed may be bronchitis. I have a cough. Chest pains. Throat hurts.
I took all 5 days of the Z-pack and drank all the cough syrup and still feel a lot of pain in my chest and a bad sore throat. I cannot locally drive to the doctor I was prescribed the prometh with codeine it is 5 hours away but still in the same state. I would really like to be prescribed tusinexx and feel that will help me get over this horrible bug and feel less pain over the next week.
Need advice. Should I try calling the doctor I already went to and say that I finished all the codeine and see if he can call into my local pharmacy a hydrocodone/tussinex syrup? Or should I call him and say the prometh isn't working and need something stronger? Which would work better saying I finished the codeine or saying I didn't finish it. I fear that if I say I finished it he may think I drank that too fast and wont want to prescribe more.
Alternatively should I just got to a new doctor at a different walk in clinic locally? Does anyone have a dr in orlando they recommend. Should I tell them that last week I saw a doc and was prescribed codeine or should I not mention that? Also when the doctor go and prescribe me codeine how do I get them to prescribe something stronger like the hydrocodone syrup instead because every time I've been able to get them to prescribe the codeine I never want to say anything because that usually does the job.
Please don't comment unless your going to help with my questions, I have experienced with drugs in the past and I always can control myself. Im not looking to just score drugs here for anything other then their intended use or sell anything for profit I genuinely am in pain and have college exams next week I really need something for the pain for the next few days to maybe get some sleep hopefully get over this what could be bronchitis. The pain from being sick is causing me to lose a lot of sleep.
