Financing a gaming computer.

I really want to buy a good computer from digitalstorm but they don't do financing. I could put it on my platinum mastercard but i really dont want to as im trying to get the balance from that down to zero as i have cash advance interest on it.

I could get another credit card but i really dont want to. So i guess im just asking if anybody knows a company who will finance a computer for me from digital storm.

Have we learned nothing from the global financial meltdown? Buying state of the art hardware that will depreciate by 50 percent within 6 months, and be obsolete within 3 years (for gaming purposes) on credit???

Are the i7's really going to get that cheap that fast?

^If you're looking into price in a laptop, I'd look at the ones based on the AMD Turion II X2, or if you want a little more power and are willing to pay, the Intel i5. The i7 is too overpriced now, both in desktops and laptops.

PS- If you're looking into a desktop, the AMD Phenom II X4 and X6 have the highest ratio of performance to cost for modern processors. The X6 specifically is extremely powerful and more than enough to do anything an i7 would be considered for... X4 is more of the sweet spot on price though, and still plenty powerful.

Just build it yourself. Upgrade the parts as needed. Don't buy cutting edge hardware either. Like others have said it will depreciate in 3-6 months and you'll be back at square one.
