Hey guys!

Figured I would introduce myself. I'm Dina .. I've been reading posts here for a while now and finally decided to make an account. I live in New Yawwkkk (lol) and I'm starting a Nursing program in January. Problem is I have a bad habit, but I'm hoping to get clean before it starts. Any tips on how to get clean would be great. Thanks in advance.

Maybe I should clarify .. I plan on getting clean doing a short term methadone taper. Any advice on how many days and how to divide up the doses so I feel little W/D as possible ... I work so I can't really take any days off or endure anything close to cold turkey. Once I get clean I know I'm not gonna go back because I would much rather do good in school and lead a normal life. I just need to take that first step so I can start this new life I want ... Thanks again :)

There's a ton of threads on here about going through withdrawal and making things easier. Plenty of threads about using methadone and doing tapers as well. I'd look in the Dark Side.
 
Welcome to Bluelight, Dee.
I suggest you look at a forum called 'other Drugs.' Read through that see if you can find some thread on methadone withdrawal. Then maybe think of some questions imoh ŷour own m as them in a new thread in other drugs.
Sorry if I cant be anymore help. Its just that u may not get much help in this section as it's only for meet n greets.

I am not sure if you are certain you are going to taper off with methadone. If your open to different ideas here is a good thread, -Before-starting-a-new-suboxone-buprenorphine-thread-please-read!!. Another good thread for you to read is The-Opioid-Withdrawal-Megathread-and-FAQ. Last but definetly not least is the thread Methadone-Mega-Thread-and-FAQ-v-2-0. These are just a few of the many here on Bluelight. Try these out then branch out over the different forums and I am certain you will see many things on this site to be educating and entertaining socially. Much luck and support to you. It all depends on how much and how long you've been using.

If you want to pop by OD, we have tons of threads regarding withdrawal and getting clean. Feel free to search around and make your own thread if you still have questions.

Thanks so much for the replies everyone. I think I might have made my first post a little misleading. What I'm trying to detox from is dope. I have been using opiates for about 5 yrs now but have been exclusively using dope the past year (IVing for the past 6 months). I'm planning on detoxing from the dope using a short term methadone taper. I'll check those threads you all suggested and see if I find anything good. If anyone else has any info or suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks again guys :)
 
Does anyone have any info on where I could go to go through this process with Ibogaine? I did a quick search on google and found only places in Mexico but most of them say you need to make a full payment before even going there, so that seems a little shady. I know it's illegal here in the US but I'm wondering if maybe there is a detox unit that uses that and if insurance covers it by any chance .. ?
