Just got home from the theatre and was wondering if anyone has seen or ever heard of this film? It's basically the film version of Gene Lyon's and Joe Conason's book of the same name.
Here's the IMDB page for the film.
I thought it was a very intriguing picture, and although I'm no political expert nor authority on the Whitewater scandal during the Clinton Administration this really brought to light a lot of information detailing what a huge sham the whole investigation was. I was especially moved by Susan McDougal's story, from her treatment at the hands of Ken Starr to her inexcusable incarceration with murderers in a federal prison. Ex-Arkansas Governor's wife Claudia Riley was also surprisingly witty and candid, describing her first hand account of some of these shady dealings.
The film begins during 1990 while Clinton is still governor of Arkansas and follows a trail of character defamation all the way to the impeachment proceedings in 1999/2000. I would recommend it should it be playing in your area.
