This looks like it may be quite interesting. De Niro & Pacino hooking up again, but on the same side this time.

Plot Outline:
Two veteran New York City detectives (De Niro and Pacino) work to identify the possible connection between a recent murder and a case they believe they solved years ago; is there a serial killer on the loose, and did they perhaps put the wrong person behind bars?

Have a look at the trailer on IMDB:

I don't like the look of the rest of the cast.

I mean, 50 Cent?

As for this guy:

I can barely look at his face.

EDIT: You'll have to forgive me, Cletus. This isn't my kind of thing.

I never saw your pre-edit to forgive you, did you call me c**t or something? =D LOL!

50 cent, huh? It is sounding quite gash now. As for smiley smilerson above, that is a very punch inducing photograph you chose. I think I hate him as well now.

Then again, the mighty Brian Dennehy is listed as well. What more does a movie need?

No way.

I've already managed to convert a few. ;)

Haha, no.

I just read the post back to myself and realised it might have sounded a bit rude. :)

Film: Righteous Kill

ok, well im guessing you guys have seen the previews, so i wont say much about it. if you havent, its robert de niro and al pacino playing NYPD detectives.

spoiler:
NSFW:
i knew all along that pacino's character had something to do with the murders, but not to the extent that he did. i liked this movie for the most part, as i love both of the actors, moreso de niro. the end kinda reminded me somewhat of the movie Heat. i would watch it again.

edit: Heat is not even in the same class as this one, just so thats not confused.

I would watch Al Pacino read an instruction manual for how to instal a fan...

I love him and I loved the movie

You obviously haven't seen 88 Minutes yet...

But yah, this movie was mediocre. Predictable to some degree, but overall a pretty good plot.

These two actors, when paired together, create a high expectation that won't be met by all but the best of movies, which this, was not.

Entertaining for sure, but I'd leave it at that.

bored. turning it off like i did with 88minutes.

i hate this directors style of abbreviating with choppy editing. it's all disjointed and fucks up the pace completely.

the story is boring and there are, just as in 88mins, lots of retarded and quasi cliche elements.

dammit, it fucking sucked! :!

so predictable. and i couldn't believe how old and tired they both looked. they appeared to be just going through the motions.

To sum it up - brilliant actors (as Pacino and De Niro are) can only make an average script into a good movie. They turn good scripts into great movies.

Spoiler:

NSFW:
I think they definitely tried too hard to put a twist in this. Pacino and De Niro definitely made this movie but the script was too average. 3/5 for sure.

considering that pacino has worked with director twice in a row now, i have a suspicion that he doesn't even watch his own movies any more.

Here in the Philippines we get 15 and 18 in 1 bootlegs, Critic Quality. I bought that movie a few days ago in Cebu. Terrible, absolutely terrible. I love Pacino and DeNiro and to me "Heat" is a masterpiece (although it DID rehash a movie contemporary to it)...but this one was predictable abnd boring. I guessed the villain maybe 30 minutes into it. Good thing these bootlegs only cost 1.50 US or I would be REALLY pissed. The redeeming point is that the DVDs usually go in themes...like this one was all Pacino movies so it was worth it for sure.
