don't let the cliche movie poster throw you. this is a well written, and fantastically animated cg feature from pixar.

brad bird really knows how to treat a story as well as the computers he uses to come up with ideal cg adventure/comedies. along with his previous effort, "the incredibles", he's managed to combine action thrills and enough humour to entertain audiences of all ages, all wrapped in a solid story that doesn't resort to cheap tricks, cliches or deus ex machina.

the computer animation is second to none, as they manage to both humanise AND retain very natural and subtle nuances of rat behaviour. i know this as i used to have a pet rat, and these guys were very authentic.

highly recommended!

LOVED this movie!
I saw it first by myself, then took the girlfriend to see it, then took my parents to see it, and it got better with each viewing. the attention to detail was incredible and as usual the voice casting was perfect. Pixar has set the bar pretty high with this film.

This was the best Pixar film yet IMO. The Toy Stories were pretty but overrated, Nemo and Cars were too self-consciously cute, but Ratatouille really rang the bell.

The denouement with the "Grim Eater" food critic was one of the best scenes ever. This is that rare movie that really makes you walk out of the theater feeling happy.

Yeah that shot was incredible. It really stunned me in it's pure excellence!

I just saw this on DVD last night, after it had been sitting in my living room for ages. I REALLY loved it! So entertaining, funny & visually great.

I just got the DVD last week, myself. I love this movie.

Remy - "You didn't know you had a son until now?"

Gusteau - "I'm only a figment of your imagination. How could I have known if you didn't?"

There seemed to be a huge underlining theme of DON'T STEAL in this movie. Other than the mass of morals, I rate this film 4 stars. It made me so hungry afterwards!

Though not my favorite Pixar flick--that honor is tied between Toy Story and The Incredibles--it's still five-stars; I was most impressed by the quality of the animation, the beautiful light and texture, and of course the more subtle humor compared to most Pixar movies.

im not a big fan of most of the kid's flicks but i have to admit that i thouroughly enjoyed this one:)

loved this movie. the restaurant atmosphere was captured, but with much less swearing and name calling and yelling.

You're not kidding, I even felt inspired to try more recipes in the kitchen!

Pixar deliver consistently all the time IMO & Ratatouille is no exception, where it's good all round clean fun at its finest. Being a parent, it's great to be able to put on a film over & over again & still able to enjoy it myself! :D This is what Pixar does best & I find it difficult to go down the line of this one is better than that one. They are all great in their own way.

I loved it, 5 stars.

I am absolutely in love with this movie. I watched it again =D
Next on my list : WALL-E !~!
