Film: Pirates of the Caribbean 3

I just watched it today and I haven't been as bored with a movie in a long time as I have with this one. I must have looked at my watch at least 30 times in the excruciating 2 and a half hours it took for this shit to end. I feel so ripped off and I saw it for free! Will they ever stop using monkeys for comic relief in film? Make a movie that's an hour and a half of monkeys being raped and tortured and I promise I will be first in line. First Spiderman 3,then Shrek 3,now this. At least I wasn't surprised that I was disappointed in this one. I now have absolutely no expectations for Transformers:The Movie.

we enjoyed it! it did get a little slow in the middle, but overall i found it entertaining. and i liked the ending.

i am a bit annoyed though at how many movies are turning into series now...just make something new and original goddammit.

but, alas, i am one of the tools suckered in and standing in line opening day for them, so i should just shuttie.

Eh, if they don't make another one (which I hope they don't, but the ending kinda lended itself to that, but please leave it as a trilogy), it will probably be one of my favorite trilogies. I loved all three movies.

First one was great.
Didn't see the second one.
This left me a bit confused by the third one, but I think I picked things up.
But, it was dull. Depp was so good in #1, but he phoned in his performance in #3. He obviously didn't want to be there. And I can't blame him, it was totally muddled, didn't flow, failed to build tension, and had no internal consistency - characters would take seemingly random actions at any given moment, which bore no relation to what they, or other characters, had done previously. There was a good film to be made here, but this wasn't it.

you know, i've always wondered about these movies and thankfully got too damn lazy to even watch the first. when it comes to movies, i have to stick with em till the end so you've all saved me the cost of renting even the first one :D

i saw this tonight. it was good. i liked the other 2, and this one was up to par w/ them. but, like the previous ones, it was TOO LONG for my movie attention span.

johnny depp remains one of my favorite actors. he stole the scene quite a few times in this film when he was just in the background and we were supposed to be paying attention to what another actor was saying. his bodylanguage with this character are great!

they didn't exactly make Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3
it's more like they made Pirates of the Caribbean 1 bis and Pirates of the Caribbean 1bis.2

i spent the whole film waiting for it to end

i loved the first one
and maybe i would have loved this one if i hadn't seen the others, but they had absolutely nothing to add (except for the scene with depp hallucinating)
