This is an older one from 79. It stars a young, rookie Matt Dillon. It's about rebellious teens who are all brought together by their parents in a new planned suburb community. I really like this movie because it shows a harsh reality of the time when suburbs started to pop up in America...

A good quote to summarize the movie, when a contractor comes to visit the town " It seems to me that your kids are turning into exactly what you were trying to get them away from"

And another great line from young Dillon "Any kid who tells on another kid is a dead kid!"

What I found interesting is that this movie, with gratuitious drug usage and vandalism, is only rated PG ( before PG-13 was around), yet if it came out today it would no doubt be rated R.

Anyone else see this?

An interesting note, this movie was based on actual events that happened in Foster City, CA in 1975.
This is also Kurt Cobain's favorite movie of all time.

OVER THE EDGE, they dont make them like that anymore...
